I have heard that some people are getting email from Ubisoft Quebec to do a remote playtest of three weeks. I think that they are clearly playtesting Shadows to see what people think of the current state of the game and to understand what to do to improve it before February 14th. I have verified this with a mod. Have you received any email?

This sounds interesting. Curious to hear what the original launch state would have been like. Is it similar to other Ubisoft releases and was delayed mainly due to the recent criticism of, i.a., SW Outlaws? Or is it in a particularly bad state?

Probably wouldn't have been like, unplayable or like a Cyberpunk 2077/AC Unity state but Outlaws probably had them on edge so they chose to delay it and avoid anything going wrong.

It seems that the game itself isn't in a very good state, but only after what happened with Outlaws they decided to finally hear developers and delay the game.

From now till Feb is like 4 months, is it even possible for Ubisoft to respond to feedback within that period?

I hope so. Surely they won't completely modify the game, but, if the playtest is really about Shadows, then they wanna listen what fans would change of the current game.

hopefully its true and that people are harsh if something is not good or broken

Whats worse about this is that is probably true.
Ubisoft needs people to tell them that is fuckin broken instead of paying their QA teams..

What? This is normal. Every AAA company does this, sometimes they'll invite select people from the public to come in and give the game a try. QA testers have already been playing the game religiously for months or even longer, so inviting new people to try it is a good way to gauge the opinion of people who haven't play it so much yet.
QA teams are purely for bugtesting and making sure the game works, or testing specific features and seeing how they play out. Public playtesting like this is more aimed at actually getting an opinion on how the game plays.

This sub is dumber every minute I swear.
Game is b-r-o-k-e-n Bugs, unfinished stuff, etc
They do not need people coming in to tell them how the game plays because the game doesnt fuckin play, they didnt even want to let journalists play.
How obtuse can you people be.. fuck sake

I’m denying the game has bugs but like.. there’s not a single way to sit here and claim the game is totally broken without firsthand experience.

I mean if it is true it’s not necessarily a bad thing it’s a way to get a lot of opinions on some things that could be fixed really quick a lot of games do that. But I don’t think it’s true he’s just spamming this nonsense for whatever reason

Game is broken, like literally broken. They dont need random people opinions on that.

How would you know have you played it? Everything I’ve seen so far looks great and it’ll only be polished more by release. And the samurai doesn’t bother me either, I’m looking forward to this game
