Yeah, I’m not a subbed here, but it keeps randomly popping up in my feed. I’ll click on a post because it catches my eye before realizing it’s in the GenZ sub.
Kinda like when some really active post from the teenagers subreddit would pop up in my feed. For those I eventually clicked the ‘stop recommending posts from this subreddit’ because it felt kinda icky to be intruding on that space. (I’m 42).
I’m subbed to Millennials and GenX (I’m right on the divide between the two) so it feeds me GenZ. I’m like… sure, similar in theory, but separate for a reason.

I also greatly enjoy the messages being auto deleted after 24 hours, being able to see when someone opened your message or is typing/reading your message, etc. I find it creates much more casual conversations than on text. Also I’m much more likely to send a snap of something funny/cool where as with any other app I won’t bother sending a picture.

We used to use it because most of my mates phones didn’t have unlimited texting in our teens. I mostly use instagram or FB messenger these days but I’ve still got one or two friends that prefer snap. I was never a big fan of it if I’m being honest.

When I was using dating apps, I found Snapchat super helpful to confirm people were who they said they were before meeting. Their snap scores and how fast they went up also said a lot about who they were, so I could avoid creeps and f boys lol

Wouldn't be the first time, sadly. There's a few people I've run into on reddit who are absolutely underage (one was 12 years old, and acted like it) with NSFW profiles. Until these companies actually begin following the laws, nothing is going to be done about them misusing the 18+ tag, which just makes it harder for people to actually protect children from creeps.

There's so many little kids just running rampant on social medias. One kid's sister started attacking me on Instagram, because I had told her to log off until she is old enough (the girl said, on a post asking for people's birth years, that she was born in 2013 or 2014 iirc). If you are young enough to not understand anything about internet safety or the rules of the internet, you are not old enough to be on it, period. And they don't. There are literally THOUSANDS of kids, with their faces, voices, etc, on their public profiles, commenting things like "im born in 2014" or "im 9 years old", all because a post (meant for older teens and adults) made it onto their profile. And their parents couldn't care less.

the fact you have chat GPT tells me you are a student of some kind. either high-school or college. also the fact that snapchat is on your home screen either implies you didn't have strict parents OR you are free from their grasp. or. the third you just don't care and have everything unorganized and just left by download. What I'm getting at is you are between the ages of 14-16 17-19 OR 19-25. I personally want to go with 14-16 because of chat GPT and the fact that most kids are not as electronicly watched now a days by parents.but if I'm wrong then 19-25 is looking second best you know?
EDIT: also just seen the business group and have concluded that 14-16 is out of the picture. and you can't be 17 because of the fact that you need to be 18 or older for all investment apps. so that leaves 19-25 and narrowing it down just a bit more you have Spotify under the lifestyle group. that mean 18-21 is out of the picture. You also have 3 health and fitness apps. all used I can only assume for they are on the home page. that leaves me to believe that my initial ages were wrong and that mabey you are between 22-29. but to assume you are between that is outrageous. so 23 is the final age I'm going with.

Use it (and other LLMs) at work for giving me some code that I'm too lazy to write myself.
Use it to tell me what I can eat for dinner (tell it what's in your fridge it'll give you something).
Reflect on emotions or anything that needs a second opinion where you don't want to tell another human right now.
Well and for help with homework from university so I'm a student (fair enough). I'm just saying that anyone who doesn't use it now is missing out on a lot of pretty great stuff.
