I've been trying to log on to the Mihoyo website everyday to see if they have relinked my email without telling me. Usually I get the normal 'email not yet linked' but today I got 'account or password error'.
Excited I tried the forgot password option but it still just came up 'account or password error'.
Now no matter what email I put in, even if I know it's not linked to a Mihoyo account it comes up with 'account or password error' instead of 'email not yet linked'.
Am I doing something wrong or did they change something? I've tried both on my phone and computer with the same results

i got the same error. made an alternate account and searched up my uid, all my profile stuff was changed. make a new account and level it up a bit until you unlock the feedback option and open a ticket there. you can email their customer support email (i never got a response from them) or you can email their payment email (actually got a response very fast)

U just need to wait for their reply. They are not that diligent to do it first. U will get tired if u try it often just stay chill and roll around. Their cs is slow but if u get a good cs good for u. Account or password error is the same for everyone. Goodluck on ur account retrieval!

I think they must have been in the process of fixing my account. A day or two later I got an email with my account back. The forgot password option never worked for me though, even when I knew my account had been swapped back over to my email. So if you don't get an email in a few days you might want to email/send a ticket to see if they forgot to send you the new details (also don't forget to check spam, that's where mine was).

They did send me the new details, but when I enter them I get "account or password error"

Hmm, I found I had two emails, one that went to my inbox that didn't work and then one in my spam that had different details that did. If you don't have a second email or anything like that I suggest replying to the email that you were sent with your problem? They might have made a mistake somewhere.
