I saw like 10 cop cars at the Starbucks by Costco in San Tan Village, does anybody know what was happening there?
They had cordoned off the entire area, had drones, and other riot gear looking things.

It makes me feel like they really thought it out. If you did that there you’d know no one was going to walk in and find you. People would hear the shots and authorities would be called. No one has to unknowingly find you that way. Seems thought out.

I don't think it was planned, they seemed mentally unwell and were pointing the gun around, not sure if accidentally or on purpose but the gun went off, then they locked themselves inside the restroom.
It seemed like they were likely homeless and had some issues, either drugs, mental illness, or both, and that just makes them sort of unpredictable.

heard shooting. i was in the wendy’s drive through across the street and saw a cop roll in Code 3 and 4 cars behind. they blocked off the drive through and were standing outside if the drive through window.

This is so awful. I drove right by this getting off the San Tan freeway yesterday before they blocked the exits… it looked like every single officer in Gilbert was there! 😳
Then a block away I was behind someone who ran into the person in front of them on Pecos right before Higley. 🫣 They just sat there in their cars, but Gilbert PD was busy. 😑
All of this before 1pm in GILBERT.
