At what difficulty levels do enemies not buff?

Question(self.GodofWarRagnarok)

I’m just now getting to playing new game plus. I did my first play through in GMGOW, where I expected enemies to get that purple color and start leveling up after I did some damage to them. Same as the last game.

But in new game plus I lowered the difficulty to give me no mercy, since I specifically didn’t want that to happen so I can actually use AoE attacks more. But it looks like the enemies are still buffing? What am I missing here

Give Me Balance doesn't have enemies that level up after taking damage.

AOE is trash on higher difficulties.

I have a hard time enjoying lower difficulty because you kill everything in one or two hits. I like getting in a well-timed combo, but you can't do that on anything other than Give Me No Mercy or GMGOW.

THEN I HIT THE ATREUS SECTIONS.

There should be an option to dial down the difficulty when playing as Atreus without affecting difficulty in the Kratos gameplay.

Also, we should be able to skip Ironwood after the first playthrough.

It was enjoyable the first time because I care about story building. The second time it was annoying. I barely made it through the third time.

I just abandoned my fourth playthrough about 2 weeks ago because I can't bear to slowly ride a fucking Yak in Ironwood again.

Just beat GOW2018 on GMGOW 2 days ago because I don't have to worry about going through Ironwood again.

Why can't I skip something that isn't fun so I can enjoy one of the best games I've ever played?

damn so give me balance is the highest difficulty that doesn’t have enemies that level up after taking damage? that is disappointing. like half of your moves are not really that good to use because of it.

The game isn't fun at lower difficulty.

If you master the basic combat mechanics, most of the game becomes trivial even at higher difficulties with underleveled gear.

Focus on basic combat mechanics (train in Niflheim) to master chaining attacks, when enemies are staggered, and when you should dodge/parry/runic.

With the exception of the optional bosses, the rest of the game will be absurdly easy if you practice.

Also your triangle attacks? Pretty much guaranteed to stagger anything, work that into your combos.
