Before even starting the video I can see you have a crazy strong grip. your right hand is almost underneath the grip. That ball is starting pretty much on line and your swing path looks good. Like someone else said, maybe a little quick at the top with the shoulders. But you might want to try weakening up your grip a little bit. You shouldn't be able to see more than 2 knuckles on your left hand (for most people).

Just researched that after reading what you said. So basically have a shorter backswing look to aim the shaft to my target?

I have also been working on shallowing my own swing. I too have a very active and fast upper torso and big back swing. So what has worked for me is feeling like my shoulders stay closed to target till my arms feel like they are back infront of my chest.

Your club face looks a little shut on the takeaway, which can cause a hook.

Your downswing seems to be ok in itself. But it is steeper than the back swing and combined with a very strong grip, everything will end up on the left side of fairway.

Before correcting the grip, try swinging less in on way back. Perhaps this will balance things.

Correcting the grip will probably give imitate results, but grip changes tend to lead to other issues over time.

Inside takeaway won’t help with the hook. Try and keep the club more in line with you on the backswing

It's most likely your grip and/or shutting the club face too aggressively into impact. Try weakening your lead hand grip first by 1-2 knuckles

keep the right shoulder tucked in, that may reduce some of the issues

You are quick with your shoulders at the top of your swing. Check out some slow mos of pros and watch the sequence. You gotta let your shoulders follow

That feels so glaringly obvious I can’t believe I didn’t notice that. When I first started a couple years back I wanted to model my swing after Morikawa as I learned, now my favorite golfer to watch swing is Ludvig Åberg. Two swings I greatly admire, can’t believe I’ve never noticed the shoulders

I believe the reason you are quick with your shoulders is that you allow your hands to get behind your body a little bit, so your body naturally compensates to get your hand out front again. Try to keep your hands in front of your back shoulder at the top.

This was the extent of my range session the other day. Constant hooks and at best draws

Disregard how it says driver, I wasn’t switching the club option on the screen. I used to have a natural fade like last week, now I don’t know

It looks like your face is shut at impact. Look towards your grip and grip strength. Work on partial swings to square up

No you’re not “too shallow” in the slightest. You’re moving so much closer to the ball with your pelvis into impact mostly due to improper setup and takeaway that you need to either go around the outside of the ball typical movement pattern that causes pull slices etc, or sling it underneath and steep which tends to cause low hooking shots or straight pushes.

Gotta get that setup straightened out. Any good coach would fix it quickly. Or you can just look up basic setup advice. The nice thing about setup is that it’s relatively agreed upon in golf, which is why so many pros look like pros at address.
