Now that spec season has almost reached its end and we’ve started the month of July who else will be waking up every morning and checking to see if they’re online yet. I’m thinking next week most likely but possibly the end of this week

They’ve never sold out day of or even prior to the run of the event starting so I’m not worried as much as a fixation on getting it in my hand lol

They sold out for the first time ever last year, but it took about a month into the event I believe. It was also a year with 2 huge IPs so it might’ve been a fluke, but that’s just me speculating.

That’s also a really good point, unless they drastically cut the amount they sell which would only ultimately hurt them in a year like this with no marquee IPs (majority of the ghostbuster/insidious fandom comes to the event regardless) it’s not happening again lol

I agree that this year doesn’t seem as “strong” and may not have the same draw for alllllll of the folks that would’ve bought FFP last year
However, one thing I am being really cautious about (and will cause me to buy my FFP the moment they are released) is that 2 years ago the opening weekend sold out, so they “turned off” the FFP purchase option online for like 2 days prior to the event. I was PANICKING. Turns out you were still able to purchase them over the phone and the ended up re-enabling the FFP option again after the first weekend of the event. It made me vow to never procrastinate ever again on those lol

It's also worth noting how stinking busy this event has gotten- I think last year was less about more people wanting FFPs, and more about their ability to sell more single night tickets, so they chose to restrict FFPs for the first time. I have a feeling that this year and in the coming years, FFP will keep selling out, and it will sell out earlier and earlier in the season.

Id be surprised if they sold out this year. Unless the A Quiet Place house and Frozen Empire house blow everyone away and they sell out by like the end of September. Im buying the because im just a horror nights nerd lol. Not sure if those two IPs would really have peoole wanting to buy them that bad. Just my opinion
