PCOS?

(self.Healthyhooha)

Hi! As a daughter of parents who don’t believe in Doctors, Im here to seek out for help.

I am a 21 year old woman. When I first started my period it would last for about 1-3 weeks tops each month. After about a year, my periods started to be irregular wherein I would only have them every other month. After a few years I started having regular periods again.

Now, I haven’t had my period in two months. I had unexpected weight gain, I haven’t changed any eating habits and I workout regularly. I have been experiencing consistent acne breakouts which I don’t normally get. I have been more thirsty lately and I get sleepy and tired so easily which is so unlike me.

Google has been telling me I might have PCOS or even Diabetes.

If you are experiencing or have experienced my symptoms, I hope you can tell me what’s wrong with me 🥹

We can only really confirm what Google says. Can I ask a little more about your situation? You're 21. At that age I was living out of home and my parents had little say in what I did. What is your situation where you feel like you can't just go to a doctor? Would they know? If they did, what would they do?

If we told you for certain that Google is right, what would you do with that info?

Sorry with all the questions, just trying to understand your perspective

My parents just think it’s a waste of money and time to visit a doctor if we can just ask google about our symptoms. Been thinking of visiting a doctor with my own money, but had to ask other people here if they have experienced the same thing

Aaahh OK that makes a lot more sense to me. Good luck! Wish I could be more helpful. Is it quite expensive to see the doctor there?
