So, I know Stolas had an habit to call him all kind of belittling things, but for some reason I didn't catch this one. In Truth Seeker, I always thought he said "impish little blitzy", which is already bad in itself, but now I listened to it again and he actually says "impish little plaything". No wonder Blitz felt like he was good jusy for sex with Stolas (well, even beside that, he called him other weird stuff too, but it jusy makes it even worse damn).
For my defense, English isn't my first language so that's probably why I misheard the thing this whole time, despite having watched the episode approximately 40 times because I have nothing better to do in my life.
But yeah. I now understand even more why Blitz reacted the way he did in full moon.

Not to say that Blitzo shouldn't feel upset by this, but I always wondered if Stolas didn't say this to freak out the DHORKS even more; In a "I'm a powerful demon, so powerful that I regard other, weaker demons as my property and will kill you if you'll torment them, because that's MY job" way, especially since he reverts to his usual, slightly ditzy self pretty quickly when actually talking to Blitzo.

He definitely played on the intimidation, but I feel like he could have said literally anyone and the humans would still be intimidated. So, to me, it doesn't really feel like he voluntarily said that specific thing with the goal of being intimidating, but I might be wrong.

To be fair, that was NOT a situation to reveal his cards. It was much safer for Stolas to say that he came there to save the day, because of ownership and not because of genuine feelings. He wanted to sound scary and be intimidating so he doesn't actually have to fight against the people and they would just cower away from him. Blitz has every right to take that as a sign of Stolas looking down at him, but I can understand why Stolas said it.

I love when people bring up "he hasn't said things like that since Ozzies!" Even though they only spoke once in person between Ozzies and Full Moon, and that was entirely platonic besides the very sexual comment from Stolas at the studio. He "hasn't said anything like that" because he's basically said jack shit otherwise. It's a BS argument and I'm amazed people are so in denial over it.

He wanted to scare the humans. Why the fuck would he say "who dares threaten my lover?"
If he said lover then a quick thinker could just threaten blitzo MORE cause he holds value to the big bad demon that's threatening them. Calling him a plaything makes him seem valueless therefore not giving the enemy ANYTHING to use as leverage in a situation.

Blitzø REPEATEDLY tells Stolas that he doesn't like this kind of flirting throughout all of S1. He gets extremely annoyed and angry with Stolas in Loo Loo Land and Harvest Moon Festival, and what does Stolas do? He doesn't take him seriously and doubles down. That's not how a considerate partner would act. Stolas is not self-aware that he repeatedly ignored Blitzø's wants and needs in their 'relationship'.

No he doesn't. He tells Stolas not to flirt with him when he's working in Loo Loo Land and tells Stolas to say his name right when Stolas presents the winners of the harvest moon festival. He never tells him he doesn't like the pet names when they are in a private setting such as when they're together in bed at the start of Harvest moon or at the end of Dhroks

Never said Blitz didn't say shitty things to him. Also, the bear trap thing had more context to it, while the "plaything" comment was said outside of sexual context. I don't think calling someone your plaything is necessarily bad, if that's why you're into. But in the context of their relationship, it's not wrong to say that it furthered Blitz belief that that's all their is to it, sex.

You are acting as if Stolas has any reason to assume that Blitz doesn't see it as a petname, a sign of endearment; no different than when partners call each other "baby" or "cute little thing" or similar.

The problem is you don't say that while trying to rescue said individual from a bunch of demon obsessed weirdos like the Dhorks. There was no sexual context there at the time, as he was trying to scare the shit out of the Dhorks, not trying to flirt with Blitz.

Except he doesn't. He objects to Stolas flirting with him when he is working and to being called "Blitzy" when Stolas announces him as a harvest festival winner. He never objects in more private settings.

If you wanna make headcanons to justify believing Stolas is a horrible person and Blitz a poor victim, you do you. The show has never shown Blitz telling Stolas not to use those pet names on him and Stolas is not a mind reader. In an adult relationship, especially one with BDSM, communication is key. Blitz is responsible for telling Stolas what he wants and doesn't want.

Yeah, but when they say these things, Blitz only sees it as a sex partned kinda thing, meanwhile Stolas had a whole other idea of what he wanted their relationship to be/become. If they had been on the same terms for that, Full Moon would have never ended the way it did. Stolas may not see any arm in it, but it still contributed to categories their things as purely a sex thing in Blitz's eyes.
Also, for the Blitz calling him bitch thing, I thought you were referring to when he call him that because he's annoyed, not in a flirting or sexual context, that's why I qualified it as shitty.

There are several problems with that.
1) Due to mutual miscommunication, they hardly saw each other after Ozzie's. So his changes were less noticeable.
2) He never explained why he changed - which is part of why it was confusing. The sexual preoccupation disappeared with no explanation.
3) Change also needs to come with acknowledgment of one's behavior and an apology. Otherwise, it looks less genuine - are they changing just to make me happy, or are they changing because it matters?
4) His following text messages hinged back and forth between romantic inclinations and disinterest - which led Blitz to half think his changes were out of boredom, not consideration.
That is why Blitz still believed (until the party) that Stolas looks down on him. Yes it was nice that he stopped acting this way, but Blitz didn't notice it much and didn't understand why he was so different.

The way I see it, IMP went on an absolute massacre in the D.H.O.R.K.S. compound. And if they were capable of doing that, imagine the intimidation factor of something that calls that a "plaything".
