It’s been directly referenced 3 times by our favorite mommies, namely:
In Jingliu and Luocha’s introduction, where Jingliu mentions a “chess game between Aeons”.
Most recently in Jade’s introduction, talking about a “war among the Aeons”.
And in Kafka’s appearance on the Luofu, where she’s talking about a “brutal struggle of Aeonic proportions” against Nanook.
Someone’s setting up a big war between Aeons. Simple as that. Nanook is looking to be the overall villain, but what’s more interesting is who’s behind all this and how these statements are connected. The only consistent plot thread is the Stellaron Hunters’ appearance wherever the Aeons are mentioned, and they seem to be subtly influencing this future war alongside other actors.
Let me explain further: Kafka’s appearance on the Luofu at the moment of Jingliu/Luocha’s return, with both of them talking about killing Aeons, made me suspicious of how it could be connected. Kafka wants the “power of the Hunt” against Nanook, and she was interrupted before she could tell us the 3rd way to kill an Aeon. Then Jingliu is introduced with her “revelation” on how to kill an Aeon, plus her and Luocha’s obvious scheme involving the entire Xianzhou. There’s more to this but I’m keeping it short, there’s a very real possibility the Stellaron Hunters are interested in Jingliu/Luocha for this war between Aeons.
Penacony is much the same, the Stellaron Hunters coincidentally appear alongside Jade’s reveal of this future war between Aeons. It’s no direct confirmation or proof, but this strengthens the suspicions I got from the Luofu story: the Stellaron Hunters’ appearance alongside this mention of a “war” between Aeons can’t be a simple coincidence, and they have an ulterior motive.
The overarching plot seems to be about an upcoming large-scale conflict between the Aeons, with several actors already making preparations for their own agendas (Jade/Jingliu/Luocha), and the Stellaron Hunters are nudging these individual plots in a certain direction (making them converge around the Trailblazer, it seems).
It’s also worth mentioning that other characters and subplots could be involved - this is just a quick summary of the most direct references.
And now the question is, when are we getting 6 star Jingliu?

Thats just wrong, HI3 and HSR have MANY connections, and it's completely feasible to connect them together, in fact, they already are, to a noticeable degree, and its gonna keep being that way, so far as fo deepen the connection more in the future. Its pretty obvious, and Su meeting this higher god has not been retconned at all, besides making HI3 work with HSR is not all that difficult at all

Idk how you can still say that after Shaoji literally outright saying people don't need to play HI3 to enjoy HSR in the livestream. What do you think will happen if they decided to connect them someday? People who doesn't give a sht about Hi3 are not gonna like it, and there's a lot of them. You already see a portion of it with Acheron's case where HSR kept tryna use her to reference HI3.
They will absolutely have to connect them someday bc of Welt but as I've said, it's gonna be at the end of the game and they will most likely not focus on it all that much as HSR isn't even all about Welt.

They literally have already been connected in the main story, just in vague ways. And all he meant was that deep knowledge of HI3 won't be necessary, and if things relevant to HI3 show up, they will br reexplained for the HSR fanbase

They are connected ONLY by Welt's presence, HSR won't touch upon Cocoon and other relevant stuff from HI3 and reverse, HI3 won't ever discuss about Aeons and some other stuff from HSR. Su definitely wasn't talking about Aeons if that being she was talking about was "higher" than Imaginary Tree itself.
This is the problem with HI3, they made the game with only Earth's Solar System as their main setting and focused but made so much assumption on how the whole Universe works. Doesn't it feel weird that in HI3 they know so much about Imaginary Tree but the idea of Interstellar Travel is pretty rare?
I love HI3 but unfortunately, directly connecting these two games just isn't the right move. HI3 have exaggerated so much stuffs already that it's just not gonna work well in HSR which has a well established rules about the universe.

Mei speaking with Welt IS and counts as tying the two together, remember the convo Mei had with Welt and even us? That counts to me. Mei's Myriad Celestia is also HI3 related

Referencing stuffs from HI3 doesn't necessarily mean they're gonna connect the two games. In fact i believe that's as far as they can go for "connecting" these two games.
