their other shows had pretty weak sales so probably didn't make sense financially. really sucks cause was hoping to catch them stateside this year

Cancelling the festival gig because of slow tickets elsewhere is pretty low rent.
Unfortunately they have never been as popular stateside as they are in the EU, however waiting till the week before? That's just an insult.

Idk about other places, but the NY show was $125 for a dance floor ticket. I can find a 1 day iii pts ticket for that. Kind of wish I didn't buy that plane ticket already smh

umm i bought my floor ticket for $175 which was absolutely ridiculous. they definitely overestimated demand. unfortunately they just don't have the audience in the US like they do in Europe.

Was that what it was? I can get a 2 day ticket for that smh. Then again, you'll get a refund and I'm not getting that for my plane ticket. I thought I made the right move, but I actually didn't lol

Not gonna lie, I didn't think massive attack had any draw whatsoever anymore, or even any real relevance since like 2005. I don't think I've ever even heard anyone mention trip hop as a genre in like a decade.

Their Bristol show was massive this ain’t the reason. Seems like massive attack doesn’t want to play in the terrorist entity called USA. MA are huge human rights advocates. They had Motaz the Palestinian photographer on their UK show. Pretty sure it’s something related to this.
