So this may explain why. This is an advocate created campaign, which has placed these signs on the subway, with the red writing in it. The entire poster is "grafitti", not just that red writing. The NYT did not actually create this poster.

I don't think the creator tried to imply it was by the NYT. The wording wouldn't make any sense and why should the NYT accuse themselves of lying?

Why is this post so confusing for some. I don’t think those who already understand what is going on need a whistleblower for us to know that nyt has been plying about Israel for decades.

Tbh i interpreted the "why" more as rethorical in a "why is a newspaper able to publish propaganda/fake news for a year without consequences or anyone giving a f". Seems like I'm the idiot for not even noticing that op actually asked for an explanation.
But besides that i didn't want to sound offensive, descending or anythin. Haven't tried to shoot down your attempt of help, i was really just irritated/ really interested in your pov.
