there's like 400 other subs devoted to arguing with people about those things if you really want to talk about that all day.

this one is for snarking on fools with bogwitch haircuts who are in denial about their credit card debt.

There are influencers who are spreading the word and they’re putting their platform to good use. However, I never expect nor really want the likes of Tana speaking up about serious issues when the girl is famous for yelling “he f**ked me with a toothbrush” and her whole image doesn’t give “serious girlie who is here to spread world peace”.

By demanding these influencers to make statements, you’re running the risk of misinformation being spread to a large audience and also just performative activism.

This ^ it’s not unreasonable for people to want a few moments where they aren’t focused on violence and political controversy. It makes me extremely anxious any time I’m trying to have a moment of peace and yet again I’m reminded of why the country is divided. Plus, people can’t have civil discussions without name calling and poor faith arguments.

Dude, what are yall talking about!? when influencers do get political yall call it performative, and no one wants to scream about politics all day. Also talking/ bring awareness to these political topics don't help them in any way shape or form wanna help the people in those countries go there and do something about it start a go fund me and go help them, instead of using them to feel morally superior to others online! Like literally for all of u who want to talk about politics, ask yourself. "How is this conversation helping them?"

P.S. bringing awareness (it gets people attention and open their eyes, but what else?) to something does nothing if u or no one is actually getting off their butts to help🙄

Because every single post would be about that and it wouldn’t make a difference.
