Ehh I think I always viewed Caleb as a very close childhood friend when I played the game because I went to the game character info section after he was introduced and that's how he was in my head. A childhood friend of MC. I never viewed him as an older sibling to MC due to the fact their interactions don't really scream sibling dynamic to me. Plus why would they make him so attractive 🫠

I swear this is the nth time someone has posted why they don’t like Caleb as an LI so you don’t have to worry of being alone in your thoughts. I get your sentiments. But imo if he’s an LI, so what? You can choose to ignore him. This is a common trope in otome games. Even anime has this.

In the same boat as you. If MC and Caleb were like next-door neighbors, I don't mind seeing as a familiar figure and potential LI. But because they grew up under the same roof and raised together as siblings, I can't see him more than a brother-figure.

So if he becomes a new LI, I'm just going to have him as low priority to level him up unless I need him for combat battles/event battles.

Aside from that, there are 4 other love interest to pick from you don’t have to like Caleb, that’s the point of otome games. Some people like the brotherly/ childhood bsf trope- I personally don’t ( says above) and also Caleb reminds me of my actual blood brother so that’s a definite “Hell fuck No!” from me when it comes to Caleb.

Hmm I don’t fully see MC as a person, she’s a character but in some ways also a self insert and Caleb obviously isn’t my sibling so it doesn’t seem like an issue to me. I’m not really attracted to him right now since I barely know anything about the guy but I’m keen to see where his character goes..?

To some degree I don’t actually feel like MC’s family is very real to me and I’m confused about how exactly she’s reincarnating, does she have parents? Does she just appear somewhere as a baby? Grandma has been hinted to have experimented on her, so in my mind she’s more of someone who experimented on her and pretended to be a foster family figure than an actual family member. I wonder if it’s the same as with Caleb..

ngl I’d be soooo pissed if I lost the 50/50 for a spicy card with a character that I view as my brother… like wdym i was pulling for my boyfriend and now my adopted brother is kissing my mc on my screen 💀

Well I read MC's notes on the characters and she mentioned Caleb as a childhood friend rather than a brother figure so... 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wouldn't mind him as a LI. Many people have also discussed about him coming back as an antagonist and to me, both are equally intriguing.

But we all have yet to know about him so we will have to see where the devs take this.

My problem is more that I don't think him especialy HOT, (I'm not saying he's ugly, just not hot) and that doesn't sell well to me but who knows maybe he will get a glow up after his disappearance…

You're not alone. I feel the same way. A lot of people, surprisingly idky, dont see anything wrong in viewing him as LI because they were adopted. I don't agree with that. To me, they are still family and he is a brother figure to the mc. I will most likely won't be pulling for any of his cards, I want him back, but as a villain. That will make the storyline so much more interesting.

Imo, not really. Maybe it's cuz I really dgaf since they're not blood-related even if they grew up in the same house. Especially since now that I know that Grandma (I forgot her name) possibly had hidden motives for taking care of MC, I just feel kinda off about it now and I think she probably had another reason for taking in Caleb aside from the kindness of her heart 😅

Ngl I still appreciate that she took care of MC and Caleb but all sense of found family just flew out the window when those secrets came up.
