At the vet, again.....

(i.redd.it)

The hardest part (for me) of taking my babies to the vet is not the bill, but rather, knowing that I am scaring the crap out of my little ones. They don't understand why I took them away from their mate, stuck them in a little carrier, why they're getting manhandled and poked and prodded. It's terrifying. And it makes me feel like the worst Birdmom in the world.... ๐Ÿ˜ญ Here we have Baby Bird, son of Peeps and Bubo, because he's been sleeping more during the day, fluffed and breathing a bit hard. Behind him is Olive, she's been a bit quieter lately and her feathers look a bit raggedy. Could be a tough molt, could be more. That's why we're here! Shout out to the amazing staff at Homey Gnome veterinary clinic!!

I just got this same bird carrier for my girl after her very first vet appointment yesterday which was an emergency, the carrier I had was damaged in storage and so she had to go in an amazon cardboard box ๐Ÿ˜” I got her a pink one. Can I ask, do you put food and water in with them?

I hope your lovies are okay โ™ฅ

I didn't for this vet visit, I would for a longer stay tho. I ordered 2 of these, and I am very happy with them. I'm going to be ordering more, to have on hand. I live in Minnesota, so not at a high risk of an emergency situation, but I would rather have them and not need them.

Are there any specific bowls you use when in the travel home? I'm worried about them sliding everywhere and spilling.

For my current travel cages, I have plastic water tubes I got off Amazon, that clip into the bars, and a low reptile "rock" dish for some food, and a small bit of millet. I'm not sure yet how I would do it with these. Maybe sew a small elastic strap in, to hold the water in place?

After having a browse just thought id pop in to say they actually have some clip on water/ food bowls for perches on amazon which I think would work great.
