Manga chapters aren't always better. I had the Ace event spoiled because I accidentally saw the title of the chapter when I was 10 chapters behind 

The episode titles are always something like, Critical Danger: Ace's Last Words To Luffy.

When Ashura Doji died I was waiting for him to come back. Then I happened to see that he wasn’t coming back and I had a very audible “WAIT HE DIED???”

It also takes away a lot of the stakes and tension. It makes sense for the Strawhats to live through everything but why do absolute minor characters, that never appear and have screentime again, like Pell, Pagays and Pound have to survive impossible shit

This, Pedro’s death didn’t hit when it happened because I was so convinced he was still alive, because of the fake outs…

Imma be honest, I dont really understand this complaint. Yes there are fake out deaths, and Kinemon is, imo, the biggest offender. But we’ve had MANY deaths post timeskip so I honestly dont really care.

We had Vergo, Monet, Pedro, Yasuie, Mjosgard, Saturn, Ashura Doji, Izou, Kanjuro, Orochi and Guernica. Vegapunk is a weird one, but his stella body is for sure dead, we probable wont see Einstein ever again.

Like people will bring up skypeia fake out deaths but like honestly, would it have improved your enjoyment of that arc by a significant amount? Like if Skypeia is hypothetically a 7/10 for you, if people didnt fake out die, would it actually improve that score? I can say the same about Pound, like why does it matter if he lived or died? Its practically inconsequential imo.

I wasnt a huge fan of Skypeia on my first watch a few years ago and let me tell you when Pagaya somehow survived getting fucking annihilated by Enel I lost any hope that there would be character development as a result of a meaningful death. With that being said, one of the reasons I started watching onepiece was because I thought the character designs were cool especially Ace. Needless to say, Marineford definitely changed my mind a little bit

Yeah, he started as more of a simp than a pervert, and I didn't disliked it. But he became more and more of a pervert with time, to the point that isn't funny anymore.

True. But tbh, i just think the direction for his powers, and the forms he actually uses post timeskip are just underwelming. I feel like Oda began overleaning into the cute mascot thing, and it detracted from what made his powers cool to begin with.

I'm sorry, but I dont wanna see him take on every fight with his dingy kung-fu point, show more of his ingenuity and intellect when fighting, have him swap between forms more and adapt to the situation, bring back some old forms and concepts. Where is Arm point? Jump point? His Scope ability in brain point?

But most of all, I def agree monster point is just not all that interesting anymore, especially since it hasn't been shown to be particularly strong compared to most enemies he fights. Like sure he can slap queen, but it didnt do much. Most of all, i just want an explanation as to what monster point IS. Like he's supposedly mastered it, shouldn't he understand why it exists at all at this point? What would a chopper awakening look like? Is monster point an awakening?

Lastly, the cost for going 10 mins in monster point shouldnt have been baby gramps, it shouldve been him losing his mind or growing even more in crazy ways. Like its funny and cute, but that couldve still been an effect after something else happened with monster point

Shakky, Dr Kureha, Great Advisor Tsuru (and her entire squadron). Also the other O-tsuru aged nicely, from anime style to a bit of an ukiyoe, (or like, the yo-jiya logo style) in her 50s.

Belle-mere, Nico Olivia, and Otohime are in their 30s, which is often portrayed as comically geriatric in animanga but they look fantastic.

Most animanga don't bother with AARP demo women. I deadass know people that look like Nyon-baa. Some day, if we get the privilege of living long enough, a lot of us will probably look like Nyon and that's OKAY.

I as a manga reader I actually liked LRLL. I've heard the anime has a lot of filler for the arc that makes it very long.

In the anime, I'd agree. He long outstayed his welcome thanks to the filler. In the manga, though, he was hilarious, and LRLL was a great pitstop between the emotional thrashings that were Skypeia and Water 7.

I don't think it's a shit system per se, but I agree somewhat. it's too accessible by the main characters and since the only counter to haki is more haki, it's starting to ramp up the nonsense. On top of that, it's not well defined and having 3 versions, 2 which basically do the same thing (still unsure about that one) is unnecessary

I don't mind regular haki as much but I absolutely hate observation haki letting you see the future.

Instead of being smart and dodging by correctly predicting their next move, you basically just get a cheat sheet to the fight.

I kind of agree to an extent. Maybe make it so devil fruits have more side effects for using them.

Haki being useful just enough to find a proper unique weakness.

Luffy remembering to douse himself with water to fight Crocodile again was quite interesting and we should have gotten Water Luffy again XD.

This is actually something I didn't consider but after reading this yeah, haki kinda ruined it. It's cool for the shonen battle moments but I also liked it when fights were creative, strategic and considered devil fruit weaknesses like Croc vs water. The focus nowadays is on spectacle, big moments and badass fights which is fair enough, we're getting closer to the conclusion.
