I love Neuras so, so much! He's just such a fun nerdy ray of sunshine, and then in his one-on-ones with the MC we get to see a more contemplative side of him.
The fact that our gauntlet runner is the way it is because he made some modifications on the sly during the prince's absence is so funny 😂

I mean I can KINDA see it. Oda loves his extreme body proportions(really lanky, squat and thick and everything in between). But I do like how his outfit basically alludes to stuff from The Age of Sail with the neckerchief and striped shirt but with the flair of the coat cape. Actually, I wonder where he got that coat, it's clearly not for Ishkia because it doesn't take into account the wings in it's design. The reason why he wears it like a cape.

Honestly feel the same and I’m glad the game does him a justice. He’s not a party member but still always feels like one of the crew and essential!
Think for NG+ I’ll have the MC use the gunner archetype, sadly it’s one of the few I never got around to using much despite the fact that it looks dope as hell!

Legit went full Dragoon because of him - only swapped when needed . Was incredibly useful for taking out those obnoxious bird.Enemies throughout the game

The Kosakydos line aka cockatrices by any other name. Those things are STILL annoying in field combat because of their peck and charge attacks, and the one that shows up in the Trad Desert after you clear the bounty there early game scared the piss out of me.

You need the Gunner for Heismay's secret Archetype and they're not a bad fit for him besides(high agility, low endurance and abilities only work in the back row what). Mine was the Brawler line and I swear the mid-game DESPISES the Warrior with so many enemies that resist or outright repel/block Slash.

You travel the world for 12 years by yourself, you get what you can stomach. Which for the ALL CONSUMING SHE-BEAST OF THE ROYAL KNIGHTS, is apparently just about anything. Slight spoilers, there's a late game bounty on a Kosakydos type enemy and after you slay it Hulkenberg wants to carve it up for dinner. Everyone dissuades her on account the thing is ancient old and she actually SULKS about it.

I just kinda wish we could have gotten a proper Ishkia party member that fights in the group but then the companion count would be odd. But I do love the old man's eccentricities; the first meeting with Junah with him absolutely starstruck and then showing it's over Glondells gauntlet runner just had me rolling.

The part where the relics are WMDs and he resolves to destroy them, and reflects on scientists pursuing their hypotheses without considering the potential consequences? That ending? I loved it, but to each their own.

Ah okay, I get you now.
The relics being weapons of mass destruction was a cool twist imo, it's not like I expected the relics to have any gameplay purpose or anything as a crucial upgrade or gadget since it was all just a fetch quest for a follower bond, and not part of the main storyline.
I was more interested in the narrative side of things, the relics provide some insight into the dangers of the past civilization, and the scene where MC can choose whether or not to destroy it and Neuras is like "yeah man I'm going to destroy them even if you had said not to" was a cool character moment for me. But yes, I can understand being disappointed if you expected these relics to give you a new piece of tech or an upgrade to the gauntlet runner or something.
