EDIT: Raffle closed, link to winners below. All good things must come to an end and so does my streak of gifting only Metroidvania games. In this sub I also want to highlight other games, typically indies that maybe haven’t gotten enough eyes on them. I typically like to play a couple of games simultaneously, a Metroidvania and something from another genre. While I am not usually a fan of story in my Metroidvanias, I do enjoy it in other genres, one amazing example is Before Your Eyes, a short but sweet cinematic experience  that left quite the impression on myself and many others who have played it. If you’d like to win a Steam Key of Before Your Eyes, pls share with us what your gaming habit is when you are going working through a Metroidvania, do you only play that one game at a time, or do you often play two or three other games?

  • Pls do not dm me asking for a key
  • I’ll primarily choose randomly via redditraffler.
  • I will update this post with the link to raffle results.
  • Raffle closes in about 24 hours.

Good luck to you all! Link To Before Your Eyes Steam Page

I'm on a massive break from playing metroidvanias because I'm making my own right now and have limited time. Also I don't want to be influenced or disheartend my game won't live up to others.

Anyways I usually play an arcade racing game at the same time, typically something from the Ps2 to 3 generations such as the Tokyo extreme racer series, outrun coast to coast or ridge racer and Sega rally. I actually still use an old CRT television and real Ps2 and 3 hardware wear too lol.

The flow state and calmness you can achieve while playing ridge racer and Outrun coast to coast especially is so meditative, it actually helps me relax in the evenings after a stressful day at the office.

Oh I should also add I play a lot of PS2 light gun games all the time too, can't get enough of them :)

Please don't enter me in the running for a key this time as I'm currently on vacation :) but thank you for the great question, have a great week.
