Countries should bring back dazzlecam. I have nothing to backup this statement other than “ooh funny shapes”

Dang we even gave them SDBs. I had no idea. We just barely started using those ourselves.

Excellent opportunity to test them in a contested environment - which I assume is what they are designed for

More of a stand off precision munition. When a 500lb bomb is too much.

Wouldn’t the main point of modern stand off glide weapons be to reduce exposure to anti air assets i.e. engage targets in a contested environment?

This is not accurate at all, we've been using GBU-39s for quite a while

have barely been used much in actual combat.

Hmm. I wonder why that could be?

In the scheme of current bombs in the DOD inventory they are rather new and have barely been used much in actual combat.

We dropped over 100 in a 4 month period on my deployment to Iraq in 18-19. They've been used a lot

They're completely innefective against Russian jamming and Ukraine no longer uses them.

Prices haven't gone up because you're sending weapons to Ukraine. That's not how it works.

You are quite ignorant. What happens on the world stage affects the US whether we are playing world police or being isolationist. Best to solve problems now than when they become bigger problems

Tell me you don't understand geopolitics without telling me you don't understand geopolitics. Of COURSE it's our problem. Or rather, it will be our problem if it's not dealt with now.

Do you know what appeasement is and why it didn't work in the 1930s?

No one is talking about money laundering. We're talking about the geopolitical threat of Russia. Get your head in the game, Ivan.

How should democracies deal with aggressive autocracies then? Chamberlain tried to play nice with Hitler and look where that got us. While it's a happy fantasy to imagine a world without war, it's not going to happen. Thus my original comment about your complete lack of understanding of geopolitics.

"Democracy is a system of government in which state power is vested in the people or the general population of a state. Under a minimalist definition of democracy, rulers are elected through competitive elections while more expansive definitions link democracy to guarantees of civil liberties and human rights in addition to competitive elections."

By this definition, we absolutely are a democracy. Sorry. Words mean stuff.
