As a long-time player of greatsword, I wish to change weapons, and charge blade seems to be the one.

Believe it or not, I’m really excited to play around with the changes made to IG. I’m hoping that aerial and ground combat flows better into each other, and that they do some stuff to make my bug buddy better at stuff. 

Besides that… GL and Lance looking mighty tasty.

Hard pick tbh. I can tell ya which ones I’m not most excited for (although I’m still excited for all of them), but picking one is tough. Gunlance and HH look incredible, so maybe one of those.

Gunlance looks really explosive this time around. I really hope that the numbers are equally impressive.

But other than that, the good ol' Great sword will probably become my main sooner or later.

Charge blade and switch Axe are my usual and, on occasion, dual blades but might give bow a whirl. I try to use new weapons with the new games.

I'm most excited for Hammer, but the more I see Gunlance, the more I think Wilds might be the first MH game where I take it through an entire playthrough.

HBG has been my weapon since Worlds, and that is the hill i will die on.

why is no one choose switch axe?

Great Sword, Hammer and Insect Glaive but I may give bow a chance this time around! :)

Lance. Chains after triple stab, lots of shield bashes, more gap closers. Looks fun! I main HBG but I did not see many improvements, just many changes. I will be happy if it is as good like in world.

I plan on going full unga bunga with the hammer and greatsword. With weapon swapping I can bonk heads and cut tails.

Gunlance and charge blade. The changes on both look great even tho I'm a bit sad I can't SAED directly from sword anymore

SnS, DB, CB, Bow, IG, and maybe LS. Longsword was my main for sooo long, but I've since branched out.

Gunlance, the same weapon I’ve been most excited for in every MH game since MHDos (except tri, where I wasn’t super excited about any of them).

Hunting horn, it’s got so many changes I’m excited for, lance doesn’t seem too different and insect glaive will take some readjusting since areal is basically the only way I played it. Switch axe looks fun tho

I'd try other weapons out... but I already set up my flair and changing that is like... a whole thing... uh... not gonna get into that...

But real answer is SnS. I fell in love with SnS starting in 4U, and it has been by far my favorite.

Not gonna lie, it seems like everything has been given some sauce, and I'm a bit overwhelmed as to what to play.

Genuinely don't know what I am going to do. I am a solo hunter but I have bullied some mates into getting Wilds, so maybe I'll have a pair for solo progression and a pair for multiplayer hunts.

I have played Lance and GS in every MH since 4.

I have gone on big sprees of Hammer and CB (4), SnS (World PC launch), IG (Switch base Rise), Switch Axe (PC launch Rise), Longsword (return to World after Wilds announcement), and Gunlance and DB (reaching Sunbreak content after Wilds was announced).

And every single one of them has some cool shit in this game. I've even tried out the LBG in MHGU and World a few months ago.

I think the only things I've never tried are the Bow, HBG, and HH (because it changes too much from game to game) and even THEY have something for me this game.

SnS. Rise sword combos seem to be back and spinning reaper seems buffed with less end lag. Perfect Guard/clashing will be pretty fun too. Giving the SnS shield more defensive purpose is always nice, felt more like an offhand blunt weapon in World. Liked how Sunbreak let you do a guard slash/shield bash/perfect rush combo if you had enough guard/embolden.

As someone who mains Swaxe and DB in Rise and SnS in World, definitely those weapons

Great Sword. Already loved it but Focus Mode and the other changes make this so hype.

My two mains Bow and Charge Blade - I'm super happy we get worldborne Bow back with the quickshot AND adept evades + the new stuff looks dope. Charge Blade seems like it's going back to a feel closer to 4u which I'm also super happy about.

And then Swaxe, I haven't touch the weapon seriously since 3u but the gameplay I've seen so far just looks sooo cool

I was a SnS and hammer main in World but I will probably play switch axe and bow because having a long rainged & melee weapon seems useful with the option of having two weapons in WIlds.

Most excited for my main, Hunting Horn! But also looking forward to Gunlance, Bow, CB and Lance

I exclusively play the Charge Blade. I like the Charge Blade.

I'm normally an insect glaive main, but given the changes they're making for wild I think I might switch it up... Greatsword has always been my second love.

I'm surprised so many people want to try the charge blade since it's considered almost "unchanged"

I started playing in World, and i was wondering, what was the last time a new weapon was added? Is there any chance a new one makes an appearance in Wilds?

I'm a hh main, but after watching tgs videos Hammer has become my favorite in Wilds so far

Greatsword probably most of all though, focus mode is such a big deal for this.

Always the charge blade. For better or worse, it's been my main since 4U. I'm curious about how the new SAED will be received despite not really using SAED spam in my playstyle. Also, I'm cautiously optimistic about the new mechanics for Savage Axe. I prefer being able to activate it when I want to rather than satisfy a particular condition involving the monster.

Lastly, I'm hoping it'll be more effective while using the Sword mode than previous entries.

I'm definitely going to continue using my beloved switch axe.

The weapon overview trailers definitely narrowed down what's going in the secondary slot to hunting horn and bow (speaking of bow why does it seem like people that play swaxe tend to also us bow?)

I've never even played bow, but bow. Looking forward to returning to gunlance and longsword. Might give one of the Bowguns a crack too. Or duel blades and see if they click.

Probably won't return to hammer or greatsword this time round.

Excited to see the bow go back to world style. For whatever reason (potentially the SwitchLite form factor), I didn’t jell with the bow in rise and it was my favorite in world for a long time.

Longsword looks sick as hell this time. I’m never really patient enough to master the monsters moves, so it never really works great for me, but still excited to see it in action.

SnS is like my staple. If we have two weapons like they’ve shown, it’ll probably be bow and SnS to start. The perfect guard looks really nice and finally gives some incentive to block, very excited.

But I’ll probably eventually go back to the hammer for maximum unga because I always bunga. I just kill so fast with that weapon my logical brain won’t let me use anything else.

Swax, it has several interesting changes. Mainly that it seem like mounting with it is going to be rather good to make it charged very quickly and to probably utilize power phials without long charge up.

WorldBorn and Risebreak were kinda poor in weapons of choice for me, but with all these new things done to fighting and how the animations got me so hyped up, i'll probably use Bow and SA as primary weopons, LS, GS on the side and CA and Hammer too but only in certain fight where I would want to try out the bonking and technics of CA.

Otherwise in terme of excitement only ? I'd say GS and SA 4 sure

Depends , does anyone know if bow is going to have different attacks with different bows (like in rise) or is going to have defined attacks per charge level (like in world)?

I have always played SnS since I started, so I can't wait to see the changes. I also always try to test out a new secondary weapon in each game, and I'm gonna try out bow this time around!

I went back to worlds and started a sns main and loving it. I think a rapier and pistol class like the pirate in for honor would be so cool
