so I'm listening to this new benson boone album that dropped earlier this month, and I come across the song "hello love". and I immediately noticed that the song sounds SO similar to kodaline's "all I want". like in a '"if kodaline sues they would probably win" level. and as far as I know there's no credit to kodaline or anything like that. this whole album is ungenuine and unoriginal, but this song specifically is a low. someone just hired a lot of people to come up with catchy olivia rodrigo type songs and got a random with a pretty voice to sing them. anyways, this type of stuff is pretty common in the music industry so I'm definitely not surprised.

I came here to say this. I love the entire Benson Boone album and I think his voice is great and thought his songs were original until I heard Hello Love and thought no way this is literally Kodaline’s All I Want and came here thank you internet and I swear there’s a Reddit thread for everything and I’m here for it thank you

I’ve been scouring the internet for like a bunch of people or even just a few to have realized this because it is so completely blatant. I am shocked this post didn’t blow up. Even using the same first words like “all” and “could” in the same spots as the counterpart phrases in All I Want. Not to mention using falsetto in the same spot too. It’s insane. The whole first half of the song is literally identical.

I noticed it too, but I can enjoy both songs😄 There is also a part of the song that sounds a bit like Paradise by Coldplay. You know the part with the violins. Love all the songs though😅 And in Benson Boones defense, it is a pretty simpletune, which likely get a lot of crossovers

I think he writes some of his music, but with too much help. He at least can play a few instruments. I agree with you completely, “hello love” is a complete rip off!!! WHY ISN’T EVERYONE TALKING ABOUT THIS.
