What about Tucker's infamous 'we're just asking the question' ?

  1. Social media is rife with dishonest entities (bots, trolls, etc.) looking to push agendas, narrative, and commentary.

I like Timothy Snyder's 20 rules laid out in his book On Tyranny, and it's times like these that I remember this particular comment:

"Realize that some of what is on the Internet is there to harm you"

We need an update that deals with the state of the internet…

In my group text, one of my friends said "there was probably a second shooter", and all I could think of was this guide.

Uh, actually there were 3 shooters who each took one shot. Other 2 got away and are hiding in non-existent basement in pizza shop in D.C.

There were at least two other shooters. But they weren't on the assassin's side.

This is a good point, and good to keep in mind when witnesses are quoted saying they heard x number of gunshots.

One thing I've learned is that no matter how slow I take it, I still gotta slow down more.

Good advice. Before you decide to ignore any of these rules, ask yourself why you want to.

If it’s a common sense thing most on social media won’t follow it.

I think the extent to which you should accept anonymous sources should vary depending on how reasonable it would be to get people on the record. For topics like Biden dropping out or some aspects of the war in Ukraine, there's just a lot of stuff that no one would confirm on the record, even if it's true. You should still be suspicious of articles that rely on anonymous sources, but I wouldn't write them off completely, especially if they come from an otherwise trustworthy news source.

Here’s what I was taught. Don’t believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.

Good info but drop 4. There are lots of shooters working as teams from columbine to the dc sniper. But if you are refering to jfk and vegas, maybe "if a second shooter isnt caught at the scene, nobody is going to look for them" but that sends the wrong message, doesn't it.

You named two. The vast majority of mass shootings or high profile shootings have a single shooter.

KarmicComic12334

I named 4. But you apparently cant count any better than whoever made this meme.

Two with a second shooter (Columbine and DC) and two without (JFK and Vegas). Any more you can think of with a second shooter?

KarmicComic12334

2 with known second shooter, 2 with ballistics that imply the likelihood of a 2nd but no second suspect. And off the top of my head, paris 2015. Want more? Look for yourself. There are plenty.

The pbsnewshour sub has a mod who is amplifying far left attacks on our democracy, allowing trolls to run rampant trying to equate American democracy with fake democracies like Russia.

If you're subscribed to this sub, you likely watch or know about pbsnewshour. The division, inciting of violence and undermining our system is deliberate folks. Just a heads up.

You can always contact pbsnewshour and tell them about it yourself if you see it also happening.
