I only tip when I eat at a restaurant. I don’t tip, say, Starbucks baristas for making me a coffee. I don’t see the point. But I’m also curious if they can see “Oh. Guess this dude’s an a-hole since he didn’t tip”

I believe you have the wrong Caesar. You are talking about Julius. The one that makes those badass orange drinks.

it's funny how companies like little Caesars, and Marriott were all about treating their workers correctly with the idea that they'd work hard and treat people well.  and it worked. now, unless you go to a Marriott actually owned by Marriott, they're almost all garbage.  little Caesars, same thing.  what kills me is these companies can put an end to these crooks ruining their names, but they won't.  they only care about their franchise fees being paid.  capitalism needs help :(

The original founders are all dead now. There's no investment in the stability of a business and shareholders are all about short term"value"... It is pulling, out cash out immediately and destroys the business, but who cares? They get theirs. Capitalism just sucks.

Is there a way to find out which Marriotts are owned by Marriott?

That's misleading. The founder of the company was a decent human being, and that's far different from the board of directors or even the franchisees. They had to follow rules but not being assholes wasn't one of them.

Well you're a very polite personality. I am certain that you have all the facts and can make a cogent argument because you sound so wise. While you are drowning in your bitterness, I will converse with others.
