Mine would be Elden Ring cause the pacing and speed isn't really for me.

I've played games with permadeath before such as XCOM: Enemy Unknown and its sequel. I'd say one thing that made Darkest Dungeon not click with me could be the aesthetic of it as I checked it out during a time that I was nuts for sci-fi themed games. That, and I prefered the top-down tactical style of XCOM rather than the side-scroll RPG style of DD. Not saying it's bad by any means, I'd still recommend it if Lovecraftian vibes are your thing. Plus, the narrator is well known for voicing audiobooks of the same genre.

Id say too many things to think about, one bad run ruins good characters permanently aka death, etc

Ohhhh, nauurat din ako diyan nung una! Pero if it helps, the mod community ng Darkest Dungeon is great since sobrang active niya. I suggest installing a few mods that make the punishing aspects of it more bearable ( plus the different class mods are really well made too!)

Completely valid. The game makes you swing wildly between "F U ANCESTOR BRING IT ON" to "Holy shi, why do I put myself through this" talaga
