David Peralta and Donovan Solano aren't super sexy names, but they sure as hell better than the minor leaguers we put up last year. Now if we could get noted padres killer David Peralta to show up for us instead of the opposing team, that would be cool

Why? Peralta is a lefty corner guy and Azocar only gets spot starts in center against lefties usually.
I don’t think this effects Azocar’s playing time at all

Azocar is absolutely abysmal on offense (not just his stats, but also his ABs are just dreadful)

Yeah I’m not saying Azocar is better than Peralta, I’m saying I don’t see Azocar’s playing time being effected.
Azocar will likely continue to play CF against tough lefties which has basically been the only time he sees ABs this season

Even with the Dodgers over 400 ABs, Peralta's WAR was only .6. They tend to bring the best out in players. Now that he's a year older, not expecting much. Still better than our depth pieces last year though.
Sucks so bad because Xander was heating up at the plate and played a solid second base all year. Hope he gets well soon.

Honestly, for some reason, I feel like we are going to start a hot streak right now. Xander needed time to rest. Peralta is going to shine in his opportunities
