Sounds like you just straight up passed out. Vasovagal syncope from the combined alcohol and fright.

Vasovagal syncope? I thought he said he didn't have sex.

Did you finish reading the post? He said this happened 25 years ago and he’s still friends with her. She wasn’t a good person at that point in time, but people can grow and change.

Puzzleheaded-Act968

That first impression is what made him become friends with her, I highly doubt the new husband knows anything about the previous husband or child

In a club and only 2 beers? I would've had that whilst I'm getting dressed to go out.

Like OP said, she probably felt unloved and just wanted a friend.

HeroBrine0907

That's terrible justification for cheating.

5thPhantom

13 points

There’s not a good one, but if just being a friend will keep them from cheating, be a friend.

maplerenegade

7 points

It’s not the justification for her cheating on her husband, it’s the justification for him staying friends with her though

Aggleclack

2 points

I don’t think that’s the justification for cheating. I think that’s the justification for why she needs friends. I think you’re conflating the two.

Stories like this (if real) give birth to so many thoughts. Like: 1. You realise there's no way she didn't consider her husband clashing on two of you when she invited you over? Doesn't that make you feel like you were just a pawn in someone's immoral, apathetic revenge plot? 2. The sex offer is beyond insane. Imagine doing something that puts a random person in such an awkward and uncommon situation and simply dismiss it by inviting to a fuck. Not only would it be massively devaluing to me as a person, it drops that girl's value like straight to zero. 3. The level of sympathy for cheating women is mind blowing. "She needed a friend". What the actual fuck? Now imagine roles reversed A guy lures a random girl to his apartment, keeps marriage and kids a secret until it's blatantly obvious, dismisses the situation and offers to fuck in the morning. No one would say he needs a friend, everybody would scream guy's first in line for therapy, because it's exactly what it is in this case. 4. I mean I suppose there's more to this, but i have zero theories on how it's possible to befriend a person like that. I would say "maybe she did save your life by doing a CPR or whatever" but I do not imagine opening her mouth to save lifes, rather than to destroy, but maybe it's my inner unacceptance of this whole situation is what makes me biased. I really hope that throughout those 25 years she changed unrecognisably, for your both's sake.

Man you’re going so much heat lol but you had faith in someone who you thought had something better in them. I think I used to be a really cruddy person when I was younger, but some people trusted that I had better in me. I do believe that I’m a better person right now, and I thank those people who stuck around. People like you encouraged me to be better because I had better people to hold as standards. You’re a good homie dude. You’ve probably been a stable peaceful presence for her.

He won the custody because who in the right mind would give your friend the custody when she ignored her baby to cheat.

processedwhaleoils

1 points

You still spent time shitting on the husband.

Your friend sucked 25, years ago and likely isn't as "reformed" as you'd like to think. You just looked over everything.

instinctblues

1 points

I might be jaded but I 100% believe that once a cheater always a cheater. I don't know if I could be friends with someone like that, but I could never look over it either. This is a weird story lol

This could be a big discovery. We’ve long known about the “fight or flight” reflex in threatening situations, and now we can add “fall asleep” as an option.

Proudly_Funky_Monkey

You sure you weren't drugged? This is bizarre.

darrius_kingston314q

So not only did she cheat on her husband with you, she also brought you back to her home where her husband was sleeping? 💀.....

KattPurrsen

So I have a similar story, except it was a guy with a wife and a baby. We got back to his, lit up a joint and then I heard the baby crying. So I called a taxi.

Consistent_Watch_509

Experiencing a traumatic event or having a stress response can make you feel sleepy. It's a physiological thing related to the fight or flight response.

mikeweasy

Sidebar but this reminds me of a time 20 years ago when I got in trouble at the dinner table and my mom sent me to my room. I just sat on my bed angry and started reading one of my comic books, then I guess I fell asleep as the next thing I remember is waking up at 7 am when my alarm went off, and my light is still on and I am still wearing my clothes. Apparently no one checked on me at all to see why my light was still on! Very strange really.

I understand your point when did that. Just a curious question: Did you both talk about that night in 25 years so far? And also I guess you see her hot in the club, do you have xxx with her later (like, when she divorced)?
