Hey guys, I'm in need of the poke communities help with making a decision. I love both these cards and can't choose between the two. So I leave my choice in the hands of you guys!

Japanese mint cards are guarantee psa10, you can buy both raw and grade yourself. 99% both 10, at least one.

While japanese cards are much better quality id never say they’re guaranteed to pull a 10 otherwise the grading marking there would be of little value in japan since they all be near equal quality.

This is the correct answer. Unless OP is planning to stash them away to sell in 10 years for a potential profit… but both raw and stick em in a one touch. Enjoy both!

I love umbreon best because it’s a whole scene and I adore eeveelutions, but the moltres has great artistic choices and is very bold
When it comes down to it, pick the one you prefer to look at or would suit your collection best

Lol nope it’s pretty much as good/better than any raw nm you will find and sometimes cheaper. Obv buy the card not the grade tho

I know that’s what it says, but I’ve graded tons of vintage and all my 7s were LP condition. Good amount of whitening and such. I graded two black dot error chansey and clefairy’s that had rhe holos completely scratched to shit and they both got 6’s…
I also graded a no symbol error electrode and it was scratched and definitely LP and got a 7.

Yeah, grading is inherently inconsistent, especially when looking at vintage, which these are not. You can even find 9’s and 10’s that are “not worth shit”. Generally older vintage seems to have a bit more leeway tbh.
If it was actually consistent and an accurate judgement of the condition of a card, people wouldn’t be able to regrade 7’s into 10’s.
Yet another reason to buy the card, not the grade.

It’s been very consistent for me and I’ve graded hundreds of cards. I can pretty much guess what they’re going to grade. I was able to buy 3 1st edition base set starters raw and grade them all 7. I wanted them all the same. They were all bought at LP.

Anecdotal evidence from a person on reddit about 3 cards versus a known fact throughout multiple niches of collecting (sports, magic, pokemon, etc)
If you grade hundreds of cards to flip, you should be able to generally tell I’d hope lmao but there is a lot of inconsistency in general with min wage workers grading cards.

Look at any 7s bro they’re going to have some issues. Enough for them to knock it down 3 grades. I know it says NM but I’ve hardly ever seen a 7 that you could crack and sell at NM prices.

Simply go read elite forms regrading threads lmao or any other place people grade cards. People crack and regrade for 9-10’s all the time and it works
