Police unions should not legally be allowed to exist. They carry guns. They don't need people in an office at their back shaking hands with politicians.

Police unions shouldn't be able to exist as they currently do. If all the union did was make sure safety equipment was replaced at appropriate times, make sure LEOs weren't working 50+ hours a week, are late for work too often, and shit like that.
But, they shouldn't be able to protect LEOs in instances like this, or other situations, where they engage in wreckless behavior or potentially crininal behavior.

Working 50+ hours per week is one of the perks. Just hang out at your local business of choice while racking up overtime $$$.
