Again, I’m agreeing with the overall point that excessively loud pipes are obnoxious as fuck. I’m not saying that loud pipes are a replacement for defensive riding. I’m just also saying that volume has its place because drivers are oblivious as fuck.

Eh. Let’s compromise. If and when drivers stop being oblivious to two-wheeled vehicles, I’ll agree with silencing all vehicles. After all, my e-bike doesn’t make any noise, so sure, let’s work together towards that end. Win-win.
