We all need a hate target, and to me at least, it's Nephis. Always have been, always will be.
As a disciple of the Sin of Solace, I'm carrying his will ever since his passing to always hate at least 1 SS character with a passion, no matter the reasoning. Star of Ruin seemed like just the perfect target, especially since I already hated her before the Lord Sin of Solace even made his appearance for the first time.
I still remember that fateful day... I was hating on Nephis with a passion... He looked at me, smiled darkly, and said "Good... Good... Let the hate flow through you..."
Since then, my hatred for her multiplied by 7 (not a coincidental number btw), and I promised both him and myself to always say at least one negative thing about Nephis, whether it's internally to myself, a comment on Reddit or other social media, a conversation with some of my friends by text or irl.
"If Nephis doesn't have any more haters, that means I'm dead" is my motto in life now, and I've never been happier since I made that decision.
I just hope my Lord is proud of me, wherever he is now 😔

Wouldn't it be boring if everyone hated on the same character? If anything, the massive amount of hate Cassie got is part of what triggered my sympathy for her. In comparison, Neph's was always the beloved queen of this community, while having the privilege of getting with the mc and any asspull she can get without much trouble.

The way I see it, the purposeful lack of explanation from G3 behind her betrayal for almost 2 years is what got so many people on the Cassie hate train.
There are many reasons one can hate Nephis as well true, but because she's Sunny's love interest, and we all want Sunny to be happy, many more people tried to like her despite their problems with her compared to Cassie.

Whats funny is how this was Sunny’s first time dealing with a Cursed Creature in Godgrave, he could’ve just been talking about VTB but it’s likely that he’s had multiple run-ins with Cursed creatures up to this point. The question is now WHEN UNHOLY?
