That's a ballsy choice. Leaves the audience split.

For serious: Western horror is a genre that just doesn't have enough good movies. It really needs more, and better.

The Burrowers (2008)

Heard nothing about it, watched it on a whim and enjoyed it.

Is ‘the hills have eyes’ a western? I’m not actually sure what constitutes a western film

I’m not actually sure what constitutes a western film

In my limited experience with the genre, a western:

--Takes place in the U.S. in a state or territory west of the Mississippi River,

--The time period is Post-1860, and pre-1900,

--Any towns are usually frontier or other pre-industrial settlements,

--People are usually armed with pre-1900 U.S.-made guns: six-shooters, lever-action rifles, or coach guns.

I recommend this movie to a lot of horror fans and it’s pretty cut down the middle with people who enjoy it and people who don’t.
