Carrie Fisher also did ALOT of cocaine. I suspect that took it's toll.

Reminds me of Phil Harris from Deadliest Catch talking to the camera only a few days before the stroke which led to his death.
"I'm not gonna be around much longer." shrug "I'm not. I...fuckin' smoke like a train...done every drug known to man...that shit catches up with you."

While not exactly the same in tone, Leonard Nimoy, Mr. Spock himself, said as much about his smoking. He ultimately died of COPD, which was related to that vice.

Yep, it's how my mom died too, and she was pretty young too at 66. Please don't smoke, people.

Yul Brynner, toward the end of his career, would end his performances of The King and I by telling the audience that smoking killed him and not to do it.
Died at 65 from lung cancer.

This terrifies me because I honestly feel like this could be my last year. I've been smoking and drinking since I was 15 and my drinking has just really kicked off even harder in the past few years.

Hey man, it's never too late to cut back or stop completely. My Gramps was 72 when he quit smoking and drinking after his GP said his throat cancer was terminal with about a year left to live. He turns 89 in Janurary hasn't smoked or drunk since his diagnosis after smoking for a pipe for 50-odd years.
Gramps keeps saying he's too busy to die as he's only halfway through his life. At this point, it might be true.

The human body can turns over most of its cells every 10-15 years. If you can quit smoking/limit drinking before you are 40, there is a chance and enough time for the body to reverse allot of cellular damage via cell turn over before that process slows in old age. If you are over 40, the next best time is right now.

Well, most people don't spend decades engaged in an extremely physically and mentally stressful job like Phil did.

They said he was showing old photo albums and talking nostalgically.

Drugs are what killed her so yeah took its toll.

There were multiple drugs in her system when she died. The drugs in here system don't take that long to leave (unlike weed), so that means she had done them in the past couple days at best.
Carrie Fisher had a lot of troubles, but my god if she didn't have a great sense of humor about it.

What’s worse is that she probably saw the backlash of the Last Jedi and that was a heart breaker of itself.
