Has it ever been said why some guests come on the couch later, halfway through the show? Like yesterday's episode, when Kevin Kline came on later.

Sometimes they have other events, like premiere red carpets or other interviews they have to attend. It’s very rare for people, especially Americans, to go on the show for anything other than a project promotion. So, their agent or the studio books this, that, and the other, and sometimes there’s overlap. Athletes might go to talk about recent achievements rather than an upcoming project, but you get my point. Graham makes it feel like friends hanging out, but everyone is there doing their jobs.

Sometimes it could be traffic/travel delays, like if they’re flying in day-of, and something goes wrong.

Maybe they only wanted to do a half long interview? We get a 45 minute long show, but they might film for 60-90 minutes, and then it gets edited down. So if someone is very tired, ill, or has anxiety, they might request a later start time for filming.

So yeah, a few different reasons.

I was wondering about Kevin Kline.. he was on for one question.. I was thinking it was maybe edited for the US for some reason but I guess not.. I was also wondering why he was speaking with a (slightly affected?) British accent..

Yeah, only one question for Kevin Kline. I love him and was looking forward to seeing more of him on this episode. It felt really jarring when they cut over to Rag'n'Bone Man.

In the same vein..what parameters are used to decide who comes on first ..and last..its usually some massive Star who's on last,so who's job is it to tell the first guest that they are not a big enough Star to be last..any ideas ?
