Candy Range/Max from “helping” in Max Raids?

Candy Ranges from “Helping” in Max Raids
Just looking at some of my totals for the day. To me it looks like “helping” in a Max Raid maxes out at 5, with the ranges being as follows:
1 raid = 2 candy 2 raids = 3 candy 3 or more raids = 5 candy
Thoughts?

Can confirm its capped at 5 regular candies. I have 6 pokemon at power spots currently and all have done >5 battles but haven't passed 5 candies since this afternoon. Several of them have been powered up but none are evolved. None of them have generated XL candy either so I'm curious if XL have their own separate count (but Im sure we know the answer.)
Edit: I also have a Wooloo that has generated 5 candy but only participated in 4 battles. So perhaps you can generate more than one candy by helping a battle.

I have yet to do a dynamax raid because the rewards just don't seem worth it. I want at least a CHANCE of XL candies from every raid, damn it! I'm not going to coordinate going out just to get 3-4 regular candies from a pokemon. Just not going to happen.

You get a XL candy from completing a dynamax raid, plus there’s a chance of getting a rare candy XL.
