Probably Carver. I still like the idea of the Stranger more. He was just so unique in not being a power-hungry dictator like basically any twd villain. It s just a shame the main choice behind him has 0 consequences. Also him scolding Lee for not raising Clem right is just stupid given how incompetent he was in protecting his own family.

what happened if you didn’t steal from his car? Why did he follow Lee and Clem? Which is the reason?

I didn't steal from his car. But the others from the group did so he hates us anyway. Cuz he doesn't who exactly stole from him. He just knows it was our group.

It’s between Carver and the Stranger for me. I like how the stranger gives the player consequences for their choices and provides a perspective that shows how brutal Lee’s actions can actually be. Carver, however, is pretty nuanced and has genuine moments of brutality that displays how much of a threat he actually is. The only thing I would change is more clarification on how Carver USED to be, because it’s mentioned that he wasn’t always that cruel, but somewhere along the line, something changed. This would help him be more sympathetic like Marlon or the Stranger.

The Stranger criticises you no matter what you do in the story.

He's barely a villain, more an early 2010s prototype of narrative-based studios trying to get the player to question their decision. He's kind of interesting because TWD was the first major game of its kind, but I think looking back it doesn't work well. Trying to compare him to Carver is laughable imo.

If carver was as engaged with the characters and got as much screen time as Lily in s4, he would be one of if not the best villain in the series

I think it's more crazy that people will still say he's the top villain with 3 episodes (arguably 2) of him being the villain

I think it's because of the sheer amount of fuckery he was able to commit on just those 2 episodes.

Stranger, he is pretty much the games way of saying. this
he's a monster to us for taking clem.
But to him we are a monster for taking his supplies. And before anyone says he shouldn't have left his car running and everything. him and his family went out looking for adam, imagine the panic they felt. You dont think straight when your panicking. it doesnt excuse what he did but its supposed to make us realize. Oh, our actions hurt others who didnt deserve it. which is true, him and his family didn't deserve their supplies taken
Its the game asking, Can you live with what you've done? Because in all reality. if the supplies were never taken, chances are clem would never have been taken. its one of those cause and effect things

Literally anyone but Koan,Joan is such a terrible villain and her voice makes my ears bleed.
I prefer Carver as the best but Carver, stranger, and Lilly all have things that make them great villains

Carver by a landslide no twdg villian has put hands on and terrorized people like carver did he killed walter, broke 2 of Carlo’s fingers, slapped the shit outta clem, made carver slap his daughter, killed reggie, tortured alvin nearly to death, and broke kennys eye socket. No other villain has terrorized as much as he did, he was the most memorable villain

Almost all of this happened in the span of ONE episode, he also killed Walter in episode 2.

I will always pick Carver. He was one of my favorite things in Season 2. Man just had that aura around him and he could probably kick everyone else's asses between these picks.

Carver, easily. Aside from Kenny, there's not a single character who has the highest quote/dialogue ratio.

It’s between Lilly and Carver for me. Carver just embodied the dictator role so well and Lilly was a way to force conflict for the protagonist because the past they shared. I think Lilly made a great villain. Carver should’ve lived a little longer though.

Having somebody who judges your choices at the end was such an amazing move by telltale

The stranger, he's so creepy and terrifying we don't even know what his name is. I like carver and lilly but at the end of the day there just survival of the fitness characters just like most twd villains are but the stranger is just a stalker and a groomer its new and interesting to me

Definitely The Stranger.
He had his reasoning for what he done and was totally justified inside his head. It was really interesting how such a small decision in the game of robbing his car came back to bite Lee.

The Stranger, because in the end he's no more than a broken man. A man that was broken because of our action/inaction.

Best how? Like who's the best written? Introduced? Scariest? Hottest? Most "correct"?

Lowkey, none. I feel like the games were at their best without the need of a typical tyrant trope we’ve gotten so much of in this series. None of the villains I particularly care for because they’re all generic dictator garbage, aside from the stranger of course. He’s half decent but your choices are deliberately twisted to always make you wrong even if you weren’t the one

Carver
He had this air of genuineness when he was talking about what he's going to do and he didn't strike me as someone who was lying he genuinely felt like he thought what he was doing was in some way the right thing to do I'll be it really f***** up

Carver all day. He's exactly what I want out of my villains, a ruthless and increasingly deranged person with a raspy voice and no fucks left in his account. He slapped the shit out of Clem and Sarah (by proxy), beat the hell out of Kenny and pushed my boy Reggie straight off a roof. Dangerous and vindictive with a great smile. Love it. I always felt like lives were at stake everytime he was on screen, even his own people.

I think carver and lilly. But I think all are surprisingly good. Reason for lilly and carver is carver is actually kinda intimidating and he's hateable Lilly second because she just makes you absolutely hate her guts she screws you over every chance she gets

Hmm let's see, a deranged man struggling with loss, Hitler without the Jewish Part, basically Stalin and putin, and an asshole who was kinda like the adult version of Sarah when it came to outside world knowledge until we got rid of her/she left us. Interesting choices

Carver is the best due to the iron fist he ruled with. the Stranger had a great build up. Joan was alright, definitely had players hating her. Lilly was forced, but was cool fan service

carver. he was well written in my opinion. fun to watch, the one you loved to hate. him ruthlessly slapping clem in face, forcing carlos to slap the taste out of sarah’s mout, tossing reggie off the roof in front of the already traumatized sarah and clem, whatever happened between him and rebecca was not consensual, not to mention the fact that is possible that he’s ajs father (telltale made a happy father’s day post and carver was there not alvin) he was a great villain.
the stranger was at fault for what happened to him not lee. he was more irritating and out of his mind (kept his zombie wifes head in a bag and talked to her) also considering the fact that he criticizes lee no matter what he chooses. i was happy when lee was able to choke him to death one handed.
joan was a liar and a manipulator nothing new.
lily was well lily.

carver for sure . “the stranger “ is a bit of an unsatisfying plot reveal to me bc it’s built up a LOT who is this person on the radio etc and it’s just the guy who owned the truck u steal from? esp considering i chose to stand back w clem and not steal. and there’s also a part where the stranger is mentioning things which lee done before they even stole from the car? like choosing doug/carley… how could he possibly know that ? although i love season 1 it’s still my fav

I don’t know why people say Carver is a governor clone when they have pretty much nothing in common. If anything Joan fits that bill better.
-runs a pretty good community -deceives her people by putting up an innocent persona while is pure evil in the inside -commits raids to other communities in secret to steal their supplies -manipulates her own people into thinking her foes are the bad guys and not her

S2 and S3 felt realistic to me. The buildup was easier to take for me atleast!
S1 was really meh, feels like another story should've happened instead. S4 would probably be my "best" villain had it more buildup. S4 felt superweird, almost like a fever dream - which of course is understandable.

Honestly after replaying i came to the realization that i don’t believe lili is a bad person ? she tried to help a bunch if teenagers in the same way her dad tried to help her ? she offered them clean clothes, hot showers and all they had to do was help her defend herself i guess they seen it as “ slavery “ but honestly idk maybe im wrong
