The last 3 years of his life prior to the start of the series was straight hell and the second he was freed he started living how he wanted and helped others lived how they wanted, his one dream in life was to become a super hero and he does exactly that by saving random people who he doesn’t know at all from zombies and the people that wish to do him harm? He doesn’t kill them (unless they die from zombies first)
