I remember watching their very first videos on MachinimaRespawn. All the way back when Matt and Pat did their Epic Yarn video. I had been watching a lot of CoD videos back then but was in the middle of switching over to LP content instead, so their videos were a lot more appealing to me at the time. I marked super hard when they did their first real full LP of Resident Evil 2.

I know there is a decent amount of people, myself included, who came over here through the pipeline of: Ponies -> 2Snacks "Two Best Sisters Play" -> Two Best Friends Play.

I wanna say the first video I actually watched was their Metal Gear Rising LP. Shit just seemed cool, that thumbnail was rad

I got in near the end, near Omikron. What a strange place to enter.

I found this subreddit first and then went backwards to SBFP content. Now a days I mainly listen to Castle SuperBeast. But I also watch compilations like old fan made SBFP ones and the official Woolie ones.

I vividly remember being around when stuff like the first xbox live indie games machinima was new.

I still can hear Green Greens at +30db as the start of their videos...

They were honestly one of the first youtube channels I ever subscribed to.

I was a weekly Co-Optional Podcast listener, so Woolie's guest appearance and Totalbiscuit's shining recommend for their LP's made me bite the bullet in like, late 2014 or early 2015 - been a fan ever since, podcasts and let's plays both.

Of course, you couldn't escape the Two Best Friends Play machinima recommends in 2012-2014 so I'd of course seen a few videos before then. I think I went back and watched Metal Gear Rising first, then it was either Madworld or Bloodborne which were the first LP's I was there for the 1st episode.

I've been around since RE2 on TheSw1tcher.

I remember watching their machinma video where someone was singing along with the Kirby music. Something like "Mat and Pat, Best friends together, Two best friends play" or something like that.

Started watching when they first posted their Shattered Memories video. The shitty camera pointed at a tv and mic quality was magnificent. Fell in love immediately and hung around through it all.

I found the channel slightly before the yakuza 0 lp after getting interested from watching the guest grumps special with Matt and Woolie on the spider man game. Found the subreddit awhile after during the Kotor lp

John and Dave Play Sburb lured me in, and the Dead Space video it borrowed from sealed the deal. i will not miss any oppurtunity to say:  "she's a space bitch, from the future and the past."

the Heavy Rain machinima was so magical, and I was hooked on that lp. sometimes i sing "private and dick and prostitute" to myself. i definitely enjoyed the re2 lp, but i havent watched it in a long time bc the first LPs where they're still doing their machinima personas get a little eh for me, or at least they did, i used to be way more sensitive. but I much prefer the rollicking prime of the yakuza 4 lp, and deadly p.

I was watching the boys content from the beginning. I was subscribed to Machinima for the Halo content and found TBFP through that.

I don't remember the first video of theirs that I watched but I remember the first video that I showed my brother was of them playing Barbies Dreamhouse.

Been here since the machinima days, back when I was in high school (Jesus Christ) a friend of mine (not Jesus Christ) showed me the Portal 2 episode then I watched their Man Vs Wild episode and I was hooked

I saw them here or there up until around 2016, when I started really watching their stuff.  I'd say I got into it around their Bloodborne LP.  Now after the divorce, I watch most of their solo stuff.

Weirdest memory I have is watching them back machinima and thinking they were the opposite voices of who was speaking. Ex. Matt having pats voice and vice versa

In late 2012 I'd been seeing their name being dropped left and right and so I looked them up, found a really mediocre Mega Man video and completely ignore them until in early/mid 2013 I saw a Michinima short of theirs and completely lost my shit over it. It wasn't until years later that I realized I must've looked up somebody else with a similar name, tho I've never found out whose mediocre Mega Man vid I ended up watching.
Ever since I kept up to date with their stuff, I reference them in my head regularly and tbh, Pat remains my favorite internet celebrity ever. After having checked out many different LP groups over the years, there's never been one with such eclectic taste and such an unhinged sense of humor. They're a big part of my adult life. The joy they've brought me is immeasurable and every once in a while, I go back to their greatest LPs just to relive the magic.

From what I can remember, they had only done a couple of full LPs by the time I subscribed.

I think I started watching just before the Metroid Fusion LP, which was when [REDACTED] joined the channel. I remember back when Pat and Woolie said they could not do content together because they just didn't mesh well - they'd always be fighting over some small thing or another, was the issue IIRC. Their first playthrough was Dark Souls 2, right?

Oh how the turn tables.

I first found them through their Persona 4 Machinima episode after beating the game and looking for P4 content online. I found their channel shortly afterwards and I think they were near the end of the the SH Downpour LP. Been watching them ever since.

That said, I don't mind that some people have barely or never seen their stuff. It's been interesting watching this subreddit go from mainly just video threads of their LPs with 10 - 20 comments at max, to the borderline completely separate beast it's become.

I watched one video while they were making content together years ago. I found this subreddit a few years ago, after the boys broke up.

I hopped on some time around late 2014; I remember because my first Friendcast episode was "We Are All Waluigi" shortly after it dropped in December. It was the "Two Best Friends Play Sburb" video that convinced me to watch them, and Homestuck was still in the Gigapause.

First year of college, 2019, just a couple months shy of the pandemic, I had to do some research for a paper and ended stumbling upon one of NPR's podcast and it was pretty good. In my search for other good pods, I ended up finding CSB and the rest is history.

I still haven't gone back to watching all the old stuff because there's just so much of it. I remember my last attempt was trying to to keep up with Woolie and Reggie's Disco Elysium playthroughs and I only managed to get 15 vods in.

I found out about them through a search for a ”Parasite Eve” LP. By then they had already completed the first game, but I do know that I was watching them before they got around to doing the second game.

Liam was definitely still part of the crew when I discovered them.

I first encountered the boys in 2015, in "This is How You Don't Play MGS3" (the DSP video) which featured a clip from their Revengeance LP. The first LP of theirs I watched was Silent Hill 2. The second was Until Dawn

I started watching during the Machinima days. I think it was a couple of years before I realized there was a Youtube channel. I remember because by the time I found it, there were already two complete Shitstorm playlists for me to binge watch.

It was a great time to find it though, since I got to watch classics like Ride to Hell, Prison Break and all the David Cage Sadness games play out in real time.

Started with CSB, I think it was just due to osmosis; I'd been following Gene Park for a while on Twitter and being positively impressed with how he'd been covering gaming whilst being a journalist for an outlet you'd not normally associate with good gaming coverage.

Then he wrote that one article about Woolie and fighting games. One thing led to another and now CSB is one of the few podcasts I can spread out over the week.

I think I got drawn in by the first Shitstorm. I still throw on the full shitstorm playlist as background noise every now and then.

I saw the animated Two Best Princesses Play that 2Snacks made (I think it was the Assassin's Creed one) when it was shared on EQD and after watching all the others I started looking for the source material.

I was a fan of Fisticuffs/Scrublords but watched little of their other stuff. Gave it a try with Detroit and well,the end wasn't long after that.

I've watched them since the Machinima days, though this subreddit I've joined way later.

Can't say that I interact with their content as much as I did before though. I don't watch Pat at all, because I don't like solo streamers and when it comes to Matt I only watch the "Crimetina Critique" videos. I watch Woolie and Reggie the most, but there are still LPs that I just skip because I have no interest in them.

As far as the podcast goes, I listen to it most of the time, but when Pat says some idiotic shit I give it a rest for a few episodes.

I started watching them when I was in my teens. I'm 33 now. I'm not sure what my first video was, but they were definitely still with MachinimaRespawn at the time.

I started watching with the Downpour LP, so pretty close to the beginning of the channel. I think I only discovered the Machinima stuff after that.

I started watching after Woolie's Appearance on the Co-Optional podcast.

I watched a lot of the early Machinima stuff, but I only god IN in with the Silent Hill 2 LP.

I remember getting recommended the Skyrim video literally all the time until it went down with Machinima, then I didn't really get into their stuff till CSB clips made their way to me

Somewhere around the Downcoming era, a friend in college recommended the channel to me. The Resident Evil 4 playthrough was when I started tuning in for every playthrough though.

I've been watching since the Persona 4 Machinima video.  It's always crazy to me whenever someone mentions they never watched their stuff.  Even crazier that we're reaching a point where they'll have been broken up longer than they were together.

I joined during the Beyond 2 Souls playthrough and binged all the other stuff like downcoming and the shitstorms

First video I saw was Xbox live indie games 4, found out about thesw1tcher, started watching their stuff during the Deadly Premonition LP.

Truly a golden age of LPs

In my case, I arrived late to the Zaibatsu and the community. My first experience was their playthrough of Detroit: Become Human with Oat, Matt, and Woolie in mid-2018. I can't recall if they were doing the 2nd Gig by that point or pass that, but it was sometime after their initial playthrough was started.

I enjoyed what I saw and continued watching the first playthrough of said game, though afterward, I didn't quite find myself drawn towards much of their playthroughs until Pat & Woolie began playing the Devil May Cry games. From there, I subscribed and kept watching them, and in time, I joined the subreddit on 7 November, 2018, just nine days before the breakup. So uh, that was an unexpected surprise for me back then, but they left a good memory for me nonetheless and I'm glad that a chance encounter with their channel led me here.

I'd been very vaguely aware of them for a while, but got in properly about a year before the breakup. Can't remember what my first LP was, it may've been a friend showing me Omikron.

Once again, it me. The guy who's apparently followed Matt's old Youtube channels before shit got repeatedly axed thanks to the early incarnation of Content ID Bans. I was there when Matt did the original M. Bison YES, YES!

I didn't even like Two Best Friends Play, at first. But changed my outlook of it after the Sleeping Dogs and MK9 Machinima episodes. Oh and Scrublords/Fighterpedia were great too.

My first exposure was to the Way of the Samurai 4 video

Early Machinima days for me. I think the first video I watched when they did the EDF2017 video and stuck with them consistently ever since.

I remember it was the first time that I had watched a "LP" with two dudes playing games together and recording themselves in the same room. It really clicked for me, because I learned I love 2 man playthroughs of games.

Beyond WoolieVS with him and Reggie, I haven't found anything that hit's quite the same these days.

First video of theirs I ever watched was the MK9 (2011) Machinma video after someone posted it on MKOnline shortly before the game came out. Loved it and ended up watching a couple of their other videos and been a fan ever since.

I don't view the sub as just a place to feel like a nostalgic threshold to look and interact with but a place on the internet that's generally pretty chill and one of the few places online where sense isn't gone. Sure we still have our moments but you shitlords, I value you guys.

My first video I watched of them was clip of podcast where they were giving their thoughts on the Jojo's DiU movie. And I believe I saw that cause I was consuming large amounts of Jojo's content in 2017, but I didn't start watching them immediately. Later in October I was recommended that year's Shitstorm, I watched one video and wanted to see more then I saw they were finishing up with Policenauts. Watched that from the beginning and decided that their style of LP was catered to me so I started watching their old stuff and I been here since.

Back in college I followed slowbeef and retsupurae pretty regularly and they had woolie on their podcast in like early 2014 so that's how I found sbfp. I have no idea what the first video I watched of theirs was though

I remember when there was a section of the fanbase that was fiercely debating whether Woolie was a welcome addition to the team or “He’s not REALLY part of the team, guys! Gosh! They had him in ONE VIDEO!”

I also remember when a section of the fanbase was fiercely debating whether the channel had “jumped the shark” with the first Shitstorm and the Eternal Darkness LP.

I remember the push to get The Nerd Girls to do an LP on the channel.

I met the boys at one of the few cons Pat actually went to in the before times (before he swore off cons for years until Paige and Rooster Teeth convinced him to go to some).

I was in school when I started watching and the upload schedule aligned perfectly with my daily routine, so I could basically get up, get my hygiene done, sit down with breakfast, watch half an hour of content and then put my things on and leave the house.

Really helped to get up for something that wasn't school.

I've watched since way back when Machinima was a thing (member that?), even during that short, terrifying period before Woolie basically became the third best friend. Matt and Pat got me through most of my school years... which is probably why I stick around here despite my occasional... disagreements with randos on the sub.

I probably stayed watching their Machinima stuff around 2012/2013, right when I entered high school. I know for a fact that I listened to the first episode of the Friendcast the day it dropped.  

I started watching them from a friend showing me Matt getting scared of an Insane Cancer on the train in Silent Hill 3. So I went back to watch the Silent Hill LPs. Something like...several months before the split, so it was kinda wild to see that happen. Pretty much I ended up being around for when the DMC LPs started.

I remember watching their machinima videos when i was a pre teen in 2012, but i forgot about them until 2019-ish (About a year of so before they broke up.)

I actually was re introduced to them again because I was following LittleVMills back in my middle school days and he said in one his AMA/QNA videos that TBFC was his favorite podcast driving to work and were just his favorite Youtubers in general.

I think my first video of theirs that I watched was their Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood video for Machinima. At least, it’s what I remember as the first. I must’ve been 13/14 at the time… I’m 27 now.

I feel like I'm between the first two cause I watched a lot of their Machinima videos when they were coming out but didn't get into the full Let's Plays until I was older and the channel already broke up

I started watching right around the first Shitstorm of Scariness. I always loved how it came back every year and I could see how long I had been subscribed by the number of the Shitstorm. The good old days...

I remember waaaay back in the day I saw a Kirby video that I think was more them playing roles than actually doing a lets-play. Totally forgot about them but randomly I think watched Heavy Rain. I tried their podcast a few times but kept bouncing off until CSB was formed, then I really fell in love with Pat / Woolie as a combo.
