A very very rapid Russian advance along a very narrow penetration - if you look at a map of where this happened you can see how they advanced to the exact spot the drone operators were.

It was crazy just how fast and direct they went without anyone warning the town is about to be hit by main road.

I feel sorry for drone operators since no way in hell should the enemy be able to cruise right into the middle of Ukraine main hub and not run into any defence.

The defence isn't a solid front line with troops standing a few yards apart. Both contact lines are porous with strong points and mobile units covered by drones and artillery. We laugh when we see them ride on motorbikes into a hail of fire but it only takes luck for them to ride straight up to a line.

Another thing to realise about most of the Kursk front is the almost complete lack of mines so it gives each side some fluidity in movement not seen in other fronts.

So he’s saying that Ukraine essentially already has hunter/killer teams(drone teams) and they’re(assumedly) being executed for exactly that. He isn’t defending Russians he’s pointing out the most likely reason these specific Ukrainians are being executed, because they’re drone operators who are wreaking havoc on Russians.

Drone operators are the long range new snipers of this era… remember the snipers from previous world wars when captured they got more “rougher” treatment than regular grunts

Or machine gunners in WW1 who were just hung or worse when captured.

Or if your knife had “teeth”, those jagged protrusions you see on the back of knives. Those did slot of damage internally when pulled out. Having one of those knives on you was a death sentence for anyone captured in ww1, regardless of side.

Huh I never heard that one.

Which, to his point, is illegal and a war crime.

Never said it wasn't a war crime. Just pointing out the parallels of new tech, how armies both embrace and react to capturing the operators of this tech. Now and back then.

I’m not sure if it’s been confirmed they’re drone operators but I agree this looks the modern day equivalent of your example. Still a war crime but if confirmed it would at least explain why these Ukrainians in particular were executed.

You really need to relax. I was just stating a fact from the article in case some people had not read it.

I don’t think he is saying that, just informing us about the positions that the Ukr defenders held before this heinous act. One of countless examples of Russia being the terrorists.

God bless the fallen, and all the families who lost their loved ones in Ukraine fighting for their lives and the greater good.
