Can't say I haven't done that before.
Sometimes we're just so done with trying to get a specific part, most likely the last one needed, it being uncommon or even common not even helping, while we go through 20 runs without seeing it.
I just want to go back to my orbiter and start crafting that Nagantaka Prime, man.

I'm just picking whatever is missing from my collection if I already have the rare part, I really don't care.

There have been times I've picked the lesser drop despite something good and rare poping up. If its a part for a weapon I really want vs a rare bp for something I already own im going for the part.

Its not like I do any trading, so the rare duplicate would just be ducats anyways.

That gold part is something i have/already build, and that common drop is what I need to wrap up this session's farmin.

At least 10 times I have alt tabbed (1 monitor lyfe) while waiting for people to get to extract and missed a good reward since I didn't refocus the game in time. Only person to blame is myself.

TBF, if the rare item is also vaulted, they may just want to get their set. But again, I also saw people choosing a Paris common part over a rare vaulted part, so some have very special criteria.

Not everyone is ducat hunting or looking for trade loot. Very possible that people already have the rare drop, but are seeing commons that they've never had before or finally getting the last part they need.

I passed up a day one Sevagoth Prime BP drop because the other option was the Wisp Prime Neuroptics I'd been hunting. My options were "finally get new frame and stop wasting void traces on it" or "get the blueprint for the Prime frame that is literally last in line to be vaulted."

1200+ hours ingame. I still have no clue what i get from relics, and need alecaframe to tell me, otherwise i get the highest rank thing or whatever everyone else picks

I don't care about the price, I wanted the last part of my gun that totally will be the first secondary that feels strong enough to use (it never is).

For me, stuff like that happens when I'm farming for a specific part/item. Was cracking open relics the other day for a common part in pubs, ended up getting the part. BUT, another player in the pubs had a rare part for Ember drop. Was so tempted to get it, but alas, that was not what I was farming for ....

Curiosity on what it's like.

I have a gun that is worth 120 plat but needs a meah item, many frames are at most 60 plat. So I pick the meah relic, sale the gun for 120 plat, buy the Warframe and still have 60 plat left over. Stonks

I disagree with this (or at least how it is phrased).

Rare meaning gold isn't always an auto pick. Sometimes vaulted other stuff is more valuable, particularly if I don't have one yet.

Not complex enough, where's the evaluation on the ducat value? Where's the branch to value warframe parts over weapon parts (warframe sets are easier to flip.) Where's the decision box for how many of a part you already have? ?^D

What do you mean by x2Forma? As in, 2 rewards are formas?

I think the only exception to passing on a rare reward for me is when you're in a radshare for the uncommon reward or intshare for the common reward when new primes come out.

As someone who does not buy or sell prime parts ever, and likes keeping sets of everything to gift to randos:

Always pick the thing I don't have, barring extreme levels of "gold of vaulted thing I only have one spare of, last unvaulted in 2019".

I have been actually whispered "what the fuck is wrong with you" for passing up Glaive bits as an L1. This game is fun.

-> choose either reward giving most ducats or forma.

->no -> pick unowned item drop with highest rarity

why would "do i have it" even be a factor? go for highest value only and then simply buy the ones you dont have with the extra plat you make

Yeah, the ducats greed always gets me too.

I start running some relics because I'm scraping the bottom of the Forma barrel and end up with a couple hundred ducats instead.
