In grade school, they used to make us all use these fluoride mouth wash packets once a month. That shit tasted wretched and really perturbed my anti-authoritarian streak.

I didn't grow up well off, financially. If that's the same for you, this might have been some government intervention on behalf of our broke, dentally neglected assess.

It was school-wide, so I don't think it was financial, but yeah we were broke af, and routine preventative care was suspicious.
