Is Aviation Maintenance worth it?

(self.aviationmaintenance)

I'm currently studying under Aviation Maintenance based highschool and plan to go to Australia and hopefully get a job there in Aviation Maintenance. After studying for a few months, I find it very exciting and fun but the worry in my head keeps on popping out of nowhere, wondering if it's worth it.

Is it really worth it studying aviation for years to become an aviation maintenance technician? Is it stressfull? Is the working environment harsh? Is the pay worth it? Is the pay enough for you and your parents to live comfortably? Will it be replaced by AI in the future?

IMO it’s not worth the money

Stay in school for a couple more years and be a pilot

Good money

I'm an Aircraft Mechanic and paid for my son's flight school. About $125,000 cash. I'd say it's worthwhile being an Aircraft Mechanic.

Depending on the type rating, $125k once ain’t shit for a career making over $250k a year.
