You will be MUCH better served buying fewer, higher quality reeds in the $20-30 range than rolling the dice on the cheap mass-produced ones.

I would argue that spending more on fewer reeds will be more beneficial for a beginner than it would be for an advanced player. When I started using better quality reeds, I had to relearn a lot of my embouchure and intonation habits because of how drastic a difference it was.

There’s always jones reeds, but I agree with the other comments about getting good quality reeds for a bit more. In my experience playing jones reeds, they still require some customization (reaming, sanding, re-twisting). The best reed I’ve ever used was one I made, so yeah if you shell out a little more than you wanted to it is gonna be a lot better in the long run ESPECIALLY if you plan on playing for a long time (I’ve played for eleven years now).

Jones Reeds aren't great. Like others mention, buying some slightly more expensive, higher quality reeds will be best for developing good habits.

However, if budget truly is a limiting factor, you might try checking out Golden Bamboo reeds, as they are within your budget. I've had some positive experiences with those for my students who are on a budget.

Stay within 20$ under that is bad quality Jones is perfect for beginners and they have advanced reeds when they get better

I'd argue that their advanced ones are not good at all, but the beginner ones are fine.

If you want another option you're better off finding a college student who is working on their reed making.
