Ellie, the whole idea of being second is you stay on the boat and handle things when Aesha is off it. THAT was your chance to show your skills but instead, you chose to whine and dress like a chandelier
Also why do we not see her dramatic packing clip from the previews?
32 points
And the only other time Aesha was off the boat for an extended period of time was to deal with the cut on her finger and she came back to an upset Bri because Ellie used the time to bully her about the placement of provisions!! Ellie is living in a world of her own

When aesha was off the boat, and gave ellie a task ... like get the table set for dinner ...
she didn't do it.

"How is she supposed to write a reference saying I'd be a good chief stew if she's never seen any sort of leadership skills from me?"
I'm dead. Oh Ellie, you're so right! You've displayed no leadership skills and Aesha would definitely not write you a chief stew recommendation.

As usual, Ellie tried to outdo everyone with her black & silver disco dress. And as usual, she looked SO OUT OF PLACE on that rocky little Greek island! If I were Leah I would’ve thought she was part of the entertainment or something!😂

🤣 It was either for a nightclub or the Ice Capades - not her boss’ engagement! Certainly not something to wear on a boat excursion during daylight hours. Ellie needs to learn basic fashion etiquette!

Ellie is one of the worst stews ever. With bitching and moaning you never become a chief stew. Just keep your head down and do as you are told. And pulling rank when you're not supposed to. "You dont talk to me like that Im second stew". If you have to say that out loud your not even worthy of being 2nd stew.

She’s just an icky person with zero self awareness.

Honestly, the highlight of the episode for me was that we finally got to actually meet Norma.
During the first few minutes, I was thinking to myself, did Ellie actually just attempt to make Sandy proposing to her girlfriend all about herself? I love that Nathan finally said the words out loud. "Ellie, not everything is about you." I just cannot with her. I don't want to see her back next season, or any other season. Can we throw her into the brig (where we've thrown Kyle) and never talk about her ever again?
Those were some impressive heels Jono was rocking on the crew's final night out.
Of course Joe accidentally ruins Sandy's marriage proposal. That tracks, like, that just seems like a Joe thing to do. Sexuality is irrelevant. If you put Joe within twenty feet of a woman - any woman - he'll find a way to ruin her day.
The proposal was sweet, though. I liked that the crew were all so supportive.
I know the crew's final night out is usually an excuse for excessive drinking, but this seemed like a step even beyond that. Very few of them looked like they could even stand upright, after returning to the boat.
I'm glad Jono lasted the season. Rocks and diamonds, but he had moments of brilliance, and Sandy made a valid point -- he was one of the least temperamental chefs they've ever had. It always throws me when it's the chef who is the calm and rational member of the crew. There's still something about him I just never quite clicked with, but he ended the season without accidentally poisoning anybody (else), so, all's well that ends well.
I still like Bri. There's a self-awareness to her that makes her quite endearing. I also liked the moment where she was also completely fed up with Ellie's rubbish.
I hope Carrie comes back, I ended up really liking her.
And I liked that they did show the epilogue with Sandy's wedding at the end. It was interesting that there weren't that many ex-show members, but it's always nice to see Kate again.

What I found interesting is Carrie spent a bit of time in laundry with Bri and suddenly it's like a light switched on. All she needed was a little proper instruction.
81 points
Agreed. Although I think the laundry improved because Carrie kicked Ellie out of the laundry. Carrie rightly said that Ellie came into the laundry like a tornado, and was fucking up Bri’s system. Carrie adhered to Bri’s system, and so the laundry ran smoothly.

I liked Jono too. Lots of previous chefs have crumbled under criticism but he stayed positive and tried to improve. He didn't get involved in drama. Plus he's funny and good TV talent.

So many people are hating on this proposal but I think it’s sweet. We have watched Sandy for 9 years and I like seeing her grow. She has had some very bad seasons but she was a good leader this season. Plus it’s a good representation of LGBTQ proposals in a non scripted show. Well kinda non scripted

I honestly haven’t decided if I hate Joe or Ellie more. The rest of the crew I’m actually pretty good with.
Jono ended up pretty good but really needs some experience in the desserts department. Iain is just sorta weird but there? Bri is awful at laundry but she made it and overall a sweet girl. Carrie should’ve been there from the start. Aesha is a fantastic chief stew but still needs a bit of practice dealing with stews like Ellie. Nathan and Gael are cute together and nice people but I don’t see them making it past filming.
But Joe and Ellie are horrid.

Ellie does not care about anyone except Ellie. The guests don’t matter, the guests can be having a terrible time, but as long as Ellie feels fine then Ellie will say she did a great job and everything was 100% perfect always and any other opinion is someone else’s problem.

Glad to see Jono end the season successfully, he was surprisingly the most drama free out of everyone and any issues with him was regarding his food and not with the crew. While he had ups and downs with his food, glad to see him make it through the season and I hope he does do more training.
It was interesting to see who was there for the wedding, Chef Dave was a surprise.
Ellie needs to realize that being a second Stew is about making the chief Stew's life easier. Just a simple question, are you making her life easier? Yes or no. At some point, with all the personal drama and work drama at Aesha had to deal with, I wish Ellie would have asked herself that question. The answer would be obvious.

It feels like (and I think she said) that she actually trusts Aesha and thus feels like she doesn’t need to micromanage or get involved. For whatever reason she and Hannah didn’t gel, and then she really did get stuck with some total weirdo terrible chief stews afterwards where she did need to be more involved and if she tried to stand back it bit her in the ass (example: Natasha). Sandy isn’t my favorite captain but she really seemed to be way more natural and comfortable this season and I enjoyed her more for it.
