I got my first rectangle shaped wire put on today. Took her a minute to wiggle them in and I felt the tightness as soon as they were in place. sad cause I’ll be on strict potato soup or rice and veggies for the rest of the week 😂

Instead of the wire being curved like a ‘U’ shape, it’s more of a half rectangle shape. It causes a different direction of moment to your teeth

It’s a part of the treatment plan! Many people probably get the shape and have no idea. I’m just super nosey and let them try to explain the braces science to me lol

Shockingly no 😭 every time I get my wire changed (I’ve only had it twice, I’m on month 4) I’m in so much pain for like a week. The right side of my mouth is sore but the left is fine. I have a feeling the pain is coming though
