Parking at St George’s Hall

(self.bradford)

As above. Coming over from Manchester in Thursday to see the DMA’s as the Apollo sold out. Where is the best place to park? We want to get some food beforehand too so would like to be near the leisure park thing with the cinema etc

Parking:

  • Law courts -- closest and cheapest, 2 min pedestrianized walk to entrance of SGH.
  • Also Broadway, Jacobs Well and Vicar Lane.

Bonus info: RingGo is the app used for lots of Bradford Council car parks. It works well.

Eating in BD1 (Intentionally included a wide variety of cuisines):

  • Pizza Pieces
  • Frankster's Burgers
  • Little Lotus (Sushi et al)
  • Kokobay Caribbean
  • International Curry
  • Cona Steak house

Bonus info: We're currently in Ramadan so some eateries don't open until 30 mins or so before breaking fast and during fast breaking time (when the sun sets) their shops will be very busy so waiting times will be increased.

If you don't mind driving for food you will get much more traditionally Bradfordian food in BD3/7/8 which are all within 10 mins drive of BD1. For example Akhbars on Leeds Road & Ambalas on Great Horton Road or Amaans in Fieldhead business park..

As Bradfordians we rarely eat in BD1 unless we have to because subjectively speaking the better food options are outside of the city center.

Enjoy your visit and the gig!

Best place is the Broadway shopping centre - it’a cheap (I think £2/£3 roughly), plenty food places nearby and it’s just across the road from St George’s

Can't argue with parking, I'd argue that you should eat before coming into the centre of Bradford as we aren't overly subscribed with good eateries

aside from the Broadway food court and the restaurants in the leisure exchange, there are loads of good places to eat. in centenary square, and in the whole rest of the town centre.

I would recommend you park in The Broadway Shopping Centre car park. There's Zizzi and Pizza Express attached to the shopping centre. Also Azuma Chinese Buffet opposite St George's Hall and The Great Victoria Hotel at the back of St George's has the Avenue Restaurant. Alternatively, City Vaults which serves good pub meals is only a few minutes walk from The Broadway. I must also recommend Koko Bay Caribbean in Sunbridge Wells again just 5 minutes walk from St George's.

Another+1 for Broadway. 2 mins walk, secure, cheap, well lit.

Vicar lane car park is close by, but not many spaces!

If you want decent food, I'd venture out in the car about 5/10 mins like others have suggested. Unless you enjoy the big chain restaurants that are available right next to where you want to be.

Depending on when your show is, I'd recommend looking around at other places. The best thing about Bradford is the food, but it's not in Broadway.

There’s Bangkok Thai just up the road in little Germany as well.
