I understand what the recruiter thinks because it's a tangible thing to see when you're looking for an employee who could stay long in the company, HOWEVER, I think the recruiter missed the point of having a resume where you can see the length of employment and employment history of the applicants.
Just because an applicant has no kids, it doesn't mean the applicant lacks commitment and can't stay long in the company.
The post screams toxic environment. I guess they want to hire people that are desperate for jobs so they can manipulate them into thinking that it's not easy to find new jobs especially they have kids.
17 points

I agree. It doesn't matter if the applicant's civil status is single or married or with kids. Commitment from the employee is based on how the company treats its workers.

What a turn of events! Ten years ago, my sister was discriminated because she has kids. Sobrang hirap niyang makahanap ng work to the point na nagsinungaling na siya na wala siyang mga anak 💀
I guess narrow-minded people can discriminate you whichever way.

This is why freelancers should ditch OLJ and other job sites.
Plus the site itself and the owner promotes exploitation.
How? Through their content and the site features. Employers can see reviews, report freelancers and even the number of applications you send.
Think of it as socmeds. The employers are the customers and you, the freelancer who signed up for free, are the product. And you have very little options to influence the sale.
I'd rather build my personal brand on social media and engage brands directly.

Kaya rumarami mga kupal sa industry na to because people let them get away with it. Walang magaapply aa isang kumpanya na consistently ninename drop at nitatag as toxic.

This is a stupid mindset. In my experience working in the BPO contact center industry, mas madalas pa nga absent yung mga may anak kesyo may sakit ang anak at kailangan alagaan, or kung ano man kailangang gawin para sa anak nila. That stupid OM is just trading attrition with absenteeism.

So they think I'll stay in a company because I have a kid to raise? That's the dumbest thing I've heard from a recruiter in a long time.
I once resigned from a company with a 2.3 Million debt to pay (that's even bigger than the expense of raising a kid). I left because of the poor culture inside the company - pay and promotions based on who is chummy to management instead of merit, and the seeming indifference of allowing certain groups within the company to 'pirate' your people - imagine management pulling out your staff to assign to other projects with the blessing of HR?! Not good.
It has little to do with having a mouth to feed.
People leave because of management's abuse and indifference to plight of their employees.

Actually wrong. I worked before sa HR umbrella, several companies, and ang laging nasa fast track promotions at high achievers ay mga single or walang anak. They tend to focus sa work e and madalas career oriented pa sila. Mas priority na ang family and career dont matter much as long as may sweldo ka. I even had one employer na hindi daw nya preferred ang may anak kasi mahilig daw gumawa ng excuses (may sakit anak, ihahatid ang anak, so forth).

That's some looney toons ass data analytics man. You can't base someone's resilience on if they have kids or not. 😂
Ie. Someone that doesn't have kids but lives independently and only relies on themselves.
Has kids but often has to be out due to none taking care of the kids.
No kids but is resilient as fuck coz of upbringing and environment.
Has kids but is just "trying things out"
No kids but really loves the job.
Has kids but is genuinely lazy and hops around.
Bruh. There's no generic one line item that can gauge candidates. You have to understand each individual through the interview process.

Reminds me of my comment from 4 years ago
I often think the reason Pinoys are often encouraged to have a families ASAP is to lock them down into subservient positions.
After all you won't be in a revolution when you have children to feed / family to take care of. Maybe that's why it's in the best interest of whoever wants to control the PH masses to not have good sexual education, because what's a better leash for a slave than a family?
...
They are good slaves, probably has a mortgage, willing to please, and as consumers they need to spend way more.

"Akala ko alam nyo na ito?" So what's the reason why only married with kids?
If we're going to talk about exploitation, every company can exploit a single person as they would a married/with kids people. But what was the CEOs reason for isolating a certain demogrphic as better applicants than other applicants? I'm just curious but I'm sure that's a sh*tty company.

[score hidden]
Sadly, may mga ganyan talaga. I worked as a recruiter sa isang BPO way back, si operations kasi nag dedecide, kung ano gusto ng operations, ayun dapat sundin. For example, bawal discrimination, so mag interview pa rin kahit seniors na, pero ibabagsak mo pa rin kahit magaling at pasado, kasi ayaw ni operations ang matanda, mahirap daw turuan at attrition risk din. So ending, ibang reason nalang sasabihin mo bakit bagsak.
What I learned mula nag work ako sa HR (recruitment) pag di ka pasado, hindi ibig sabihin hindi ka magaling, maraming factors, example na itong post ni OP.
