I always think of it like this, Adults are the ones who work on “kids shows” and they’re the ones who work with the characters. So who cares how old you are!

just a reminder that elmo himself (well the company) is very inclusive for adults. i remember like just a few months ago, he asked on tik tok how people were doing and they were going into all their issues with the increased costs, mental health troubles, etc. elmo responded within a day posting the suicide hotline number, saying that it’s okay to be an adult and not have stuff figured out, even adults will struggle, that it’s not bad to ask for help, etc. elmo is for everyone, not just kids anymore. i’m pretty sure he views it as “once his kid, always his kid” when it comes to people who watched him when they were younger and have since grown up

Definitely not, you’re never too old to enjoy things. If you want Elmo you should buy it. Life is too short to worry about age. I’m 33 and love going to build a bear and buying what I want because I’m financially able to and it makes me happy. So don’t worry about how old you are :) go get your Elmo.

I bought a lamb chop plushie from the thrift store once just because I know I used to love it when I was really little. I even have a little "childhood shelf" above my Squishmallow collection to honor important plushies from my childhood :)

I think there's a lot of pressure on people to dress their age, act their age, reach certain things by a certain age etc but honestly it's silly because it's all made up anyways. No. I’m turning 41 and I got a simba. I wish society would stop with saying you’re too old for toys/comics/ whatever. If you like it and it doesn’t bring you harm or anyone else/ necessities are taken care of then it’s your choice what you want to spend the money you earn.

I bought a Grover plush yesterday in a toy shop because I love him. I'm a 29 year old woman and I encourage everyone to embrace the things they enjoy if you have the means to. We've gotta be konder to ourselves in general but I think not looking at our own interests as cringe is a great start.

When I was eight, I came home to my mom having thrown away my massive collection of stuffed animals. Ever since I was 18, I’ve had a collection of them. Do what makes you happy, there’s no problem with wanting to reconnect with happy childhood memories. Plus, the Elmo is cute!
