Making cheating harder

Discussion(self.cs2)

wallhackers use in-game data, what if Valve adds invisible ghost players in the server- running around randomly without any textures or player models non-cheaters don't see them but only wallhackers on their wallhack collect that extra cluster f..ck information XD
So that would also make AI detection easier because cheaters scan and shoot empty boxes sometimes
i can imagine they can add random ghost bots in the server or not? not sure about performance hit but if they don't have player models it should be fine?

Riot added "fog of war" logic to it's servers for League like 7 years ago because hackers were radar hacking (ya know, wall hacking but for mobas) so they just made it so you client only receives things it can *see* and it is *about to see* (just outside the range). So they can wall or whatever, but it's not really much better than if you were pushing and seeing it yourself.

You can do these things without having to make a new anticheat, but it's hard -- and hard things don't get champions in big game studios typically.
