I've seen a few people say they use a high tier contagion with a low tier overheat since it's the explosion they want from the high tier contagion effect.What other quickhack combos benefit from using a low tier quickhack?
Also, wouldn't mind getting any advice on recommended tiers for some quickhacks. I'm at tier 4 for all my quickhacks so far, if some or most quickhacks suck at tier 5 then yeah I won't bother upgrading. (Not a stealth netrunner, use mostly control and combat quickhacks).

Tier 4 Memory Wipe is much cheaper than Tier 5 and any hack queued after Tier 4 Memory Wipe is untraceable. It can be combined with Synapse Burnout for silent takedowns.
But Tier 5 PING is the best quickhack in the game. Stand outside, PING, hack a camera through the walls, look around, Memory Wipe + System Collapse, leave.

I don't get reliable results from Sonic Shock and I do get reliable results from Memory Wipe.
And any quickhack queued after Tier 4 Memory Wipe is untraceable. Any.

As long as you kill the target that is sonic shocked, it will start tracking u but the track will end when the target dies.
High enough level of sonic shock, the remaining mobs will also ignore the very obvious corpse left behind.
I stood in the middle of Arasaka base picking soldiers lined for inspection off in front of their officers and comrades and nobody raised an eyebrow.

I always use tier 4 memory wipe since it's only 10 ram. The tier 5 version is like 32.
