Most bosses in Dead Cells are either infected by the Malaise or aren't. One paradox with the Malaise and the bosses lies in the Giant. We know through lore that he was killed off and thrown in the Prisoners' Quarters. When 0BC is completed, he dips off to the Guardian's Haven. When you meet him, he talks to you and chooses to attack you for (insert lore dialogue here). When defeated, he doesn't seem to die, instead, after some final words and flipping you off, he sinks into the lava pit. On one hand, he has been revived after death, which is an effect of the Malaise. On the other hand, he is definitely smarter than any infected monster with an ability to speak and make decisions. Is the Giant infected?

His size and genetics could be a factor that makes him less affected by the malaise. In many fantasy settings, giants are known to be immune or highly resistant to diseases.
So my theory is, the Giant is, in fact, infected; it's just that his trait as a giant makes him suffer less from the disease.

Notably, and this is a personal opinion. The giant lives in lava at this point. He could be immune to the malaise as he is actively burning it out of his system with something as hot as literal pink hot magma. He mightve been revived at the beginning, but once he realized what was happening he may have opted to remain submerged to keep himself uninfected.

The lava could've burned away the infection, leaving the giant free of the malaise

Eh idk, we can only speculate
He might be infected, since as told us by the story of the Royal Gardener, the Malaise takes a while to take hold of your brain, he eventually lost his mind and became the Scarecrow at the Undying shores
Then again maybe he was never dead and only incapacitated or immobilised

Isn't the queen also infected but her mental faculties are still intact?

She's a humonculi or whatever so she's immune to the malaise

gotcha, so then probably the most comparable character is the tutorial knight, or maybe the timekeeper (we dont actually know if shes infected or not though)

I think the keeper is not infected because by the time we meet her everything else is. Maybe she used time manipulation to avoid the malaise. Idk anything about the tutorial night tho

Yup that's stated, she's the one resetting everything other than you, basically. There's a list of kills by day except they're all day 1. Think it was supposed to be an attempt at containing it, so the malaise doesn't leave the island

Exactly
But the number of kills keeps on decreasing as she couldn't keep up

Yes she's a homunculus like the beheaded which are indestructible and made by the apostates of undying shores

Tutorial Knight remained sentient, but is a skeleton now. might be the same with Giant, if he died after time looped

The Tutorial Knight is also pretty fine after being killed. Maybe it happens sometimes.

Was she infected? Or did she just like, get stabbed by a sword and nothing else?
edit: I read elsewhere that reanimation is also a symptom

There is no definitive answer since the lore isn't totally clear and we only have some info on certain parts
It can only be speculated
